I'm actually off today but I had to go into the office this morning to hand out some paychecks. I go out to start the DD and it wouldn't turn over to save it's life. I was already running behind and the wife has her car and she was at her sisters in North Chicago. I had no other choice than to break out the C3 that was sitting in the garage. For weeks it's been hot and sunny. The one day I desperately had to use the green machine it's about to rain. The car has seen rain maybe once or twice since the resto and that was probably just sitting in the driveway. So, I put the tops on and the back window and make the five mile trip to work in a complete down pour. She was all over the place in rain. No traction. Shot up interstate 55 and I had a death grip on the wheel. I'll now spend the next week cleaning underneath again. It's my fault having a car so impracticable! What a crappy Friday!

Yeah, I spent about 5 days getting my '91 cleaned up after the trip to Colorado. It was totally loaded with bugs and a few new chips in the paint, but at least I expected that and it was worth it to me.
I hope dirt is all you picked up. I always seem to find a new paint chip after highway driving in a rain storm.

I inspected it when I got it home. Apparently, the several coats of wax that I keep on it did the trick. Only dirt I see is behind the wheels. No water spots either. I'll just have to wipe down under the car. No chips in the paint, thank god!

Good news. That was a hell of a downpour. 1" in about a half hour.
