I took the steering wheel off as I sold it to Jack at RedLine Goods so they can use it to make 90-93 wheel covers. I got another wheel from Vette2Vette and am having one of RedLine's covers sewn on to it.
I figured this was a good time to change the nasty looking horn buttons. They collect grime and I do not like the color. Might have looked good when new but they are now a bit shop worn.
I will probably rattle can them black. Any experience with painting plastic parts? What can I use that will not peel off and will hold up to wear and tear.
Not that I am a big horn blower (eewwww - that didn't come our right!).

You won't find it in the autoparts stores, Ron.

Here's the Mi. list of suppliers.

Bill I did a quick search of that product and found it's sold by a local retailer here in Columbia. I have a dash to paint for a 1999 Ram, and was looking for the perfect solution.

How easy is this? Thanks for answering a question I didn't even ask. LOL.

SEM's just pro stuff, even though it's a bit more $$$, it's worth it. The NCRS guys use the satin trim black on the gauge bezels and glove box door restorations.

If you're doin' metal on the ram dash, I'd go with Trim Black rather tham Color Coat.

And remember, this stuff's stinky, respirator recommended.

OMFG! SIXTEEN DOLLAH AND 9INETY CENTS! Gulp! That used to be my weekly paycheck for my first part-time job!
I ended up buying a can of semi-gloss black enamel for around 4 bux. If it rubs through then I will just pry the buttons off and repaint them!!!
I'm sure it is worth it but dayummmmmmmm! I don't have one of these in my back yard yet!

They're ripping you Ron. Color coat at Summit is $10.

But, yea, you do get what you pay for. Unfortunately, you only want to shoot 2 buttons.

You may want to check Walmart for Krylon "Fusion" to see if they gave it in black.
Fusion is specifically made to adhere to plastics. I've used it before on non-Vette stuff.

They have a good selection of interior trim paint at Oreilly. We have an Oreilly with an actual paint counter, and they can 'make' any paint formula or code from any manufacturer. They also have a really cool tool that scans a sample down to the molecule allowing them to re-produce the exact color. They can also put any type of paint in a spray can for easy and quick touch up.
