Scroll down to 1993:

http://www.joby.se/corvette/div/corvette_wheels/

I went through the same exercise with my '93 a few years ago, and
had to give up trying to balance the after-market wheel. Good luck
with your purchase.

Put my original saw blades back on, and sold the replicas for half price.
The buyer was aware of the balance problem, and was going to have the replicas machined to determine if the wheels could be saved. I don't know if all 4 wheels were out of balance (or out of round).

check out these:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/result ... utoYear=1992&autoModClar=

I have the black TT.

Also, the offset should be 56mm or so.

You can also do 9.5 or 10" all around. The Z07 cars came with 9.5 all around, and in 1992, they were 9.5 all around. You see, the stagger was designed to ease tramlining - where the front would follow ruts and stuff.

Don posted the calculator, but in general, no. If you go from 17 to 18, you get a marginally lower profile tire, instead of say 40 aspect ratio, it's 35. Or the tire is a touch narrower, which maths out the same as far as sidewall height is concerned.

How does this work? The aspect ratio is a percentage of the tread width. For example, 275/40 means that the treads are 275mm wide, and the sidewall us 40% of that, 68.75 mm.

Add that twice, and then the wheel diameter, and you get the tire height. You need to convert the wheel diameter to mm

As long as the overall height is within, say, 5 mm, you are ok.

Is the tire rack a good outfit? I almost have to ask what rock you have been living under for the last 25 years?

Seriously, and not being a smart ass, Tire Rack is sponsor here, and I selected them as a click through. This is because TR is one of the BEST vendors on the face of the planet. GREAT customers service. If something says it FITS it FITS. No guessing, no questions asked. When you buy from TR you get what you expect. Always right... and when not, they take care of it FAST. I ordered brakes and the can of fluid was crushed by the rotors. The I called, and 2 days later I had a new can. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

And that was the near only negative I have ever had with TR.

There is a warehouse in Newark, DE, which means if you order today, wheels and tires, you should have them by Wednesday.

That's my take...

As for the 4.75 = 120.65... yea, sounds about right. 1" = 25.5 mm (or there abouts)

I have oe wheels on mine, they make a lot of aftermarket wheels for us. I like the look and the price was good. Buy the shipping insurance, my first order had two wheels badly nicked and they replaced them.

I had a set of Fikses on my 91 that I got a real deal on. They came off of a C5. I bought stock C5 tire sizes of 245/45 VR17 (front) and 275/40 VR18 (rear). C5 tires are actually Z rated but I will never hit those speeds.
Speedo did not really appear to be much different than what it was before.
I was worried about keeping what are essentially $4,000 wheels on a $5,000 car in case I dinged them up or bent them so I sold them to a guy in Detroit and purchased a set of used C5 thin spokes. Cleaned them up and found the correct paint to touch up any rough spots - they turned out beautiful for only $300 for all 4. Love those Craiglist bargains!
