So I got my new VC gaskets in, the double thick metal core ones from Felpro. $45 VC gaskets, dam things better work.

Anyway, just picked up a fire extinguisher seriously. So tomorrow I'll take it out and see if problem's solved.

Finger's crossed. Then it's off to the exhaust shop to finish the job.

So what you are saying is to dial 911 and keep my finger on the send button....

I just came up from the garage. I was just buttoning everything up. Tomorrow I should just have to turn the key. I'm going to drive around town a little to get the oil nice and hot and see what happens.

I put a little Right Stuff on the VC side, just in case. Can't hurt.

Ya know, this should be done with O rings recessed into the head or VC. VC gaskets are just so dam primitive.

The Right Stuff is good stuff. It should hold. The VC gaskets are a pain if you are trying to replace the VC with all the gadgets around it attached, you work, wiggle and mash and just when you think you got it the damn gasket slips off. I hope it all goes well.
