my evaporator core seems to have a leak. when I went to the rock auto site it had a part that was a repair kit.????? how do these work????anyone tried these? help.......

yowza... no experience here... I guess it's possible.

But you will have to realize that the freon you have is now gone and it will require a conversion to R134...

I am finding that to be parts intensive to do it right. R134, as I understand it, is molecularly smaller, and will leach through an R12 hose fast...

Then there are differences in how the condenser works.

think late model used... I am sure parts from a 95 ZR1 will fit... and some from an LT1 should, too.

I converted my '87 from R12 to R134a with only a 'conversion kit', from InterDynamics - essentially, a screw-on fitting, + a can of 'Conversion Juice'.

I repeated the 'flush' 2 or 3 times, just to make sure it was 'clean', and it worked as well as it had the Summer before.

I can't imagine it would have been any better if I had replaced that filter that goes in the condensor [?].
