Looks like the thread about my club didn't make the transition.

So, starting again, here's the latest news.

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that we are having our March meeting at Doc's on Wednesday, March 12th, at 7:30 PM. Arrive early for food. We have many exciting things to discuss, such as the 2nd annual open house at the Bowtie Shop, the unveiling of the new ZR1 in Attleboro, both in March, and our bowling night where we will go head to head against members from Eastern Mass Corvette Club in April. We also have to start talking about our 2 autocrosses in May, as it is important that we get club support.

See you Wednesday!

Andy

Brian - you can also post it in the Upcoming Events Calendar and it will show up in the calendar and the upcoming events on the home page. The new calendar feature also allows for conversations to happen about the event.

Hi Everyone,

Last Saturday, Leslie and Joe Scafidi, along with Paul Thompson, invited us to the 2nd annual open house of the BowTie Shop in Billerica. Joe and his crew worked hard to put on a good show, and the results paid off. There was a nice turnout from the Corvette community. Fellow members Eddie, Carl, Janet, Don, Pete, Dave W., Anne W., and I toured the Bowtie Shop. There are truly some works of art in progress there.

Also last Saturday, Bert, Marie, and John R. attended the sneak peak presentation of the new ZR1 at the Attleboro Arts Museum. Bert said that Kirk Bennion gave a very informative insight into the design of the new ZR1. A wing, similar to the C6R wing, along with louvered fenders and a hood, were scrapped because their negatives out weighed their benefits. The car also started out as a twin turbo, but after the prototype burned to the ground due to an engine malfunction, that idea was scrapped. There were 27, or so, name/logo combinations, before ZR1 was chosen. The Corvette Action Center recorded a long portion of Kirk's presentation. Check it out at:
http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103524

Remember these dates:
Wednesday April 9th, Monthly meeting at Doc's Sports Bar in Milford
Saturday April 12th, Bowling Night at Ryan's Family Fun Center on Rte 109 in Millis. 6:30 PM.
Sunday May 4th, Bay State Corvette Club Autocross at Devens
Sunday May 25th, Musclepalooza VII at Lebanon Valley Dragway ( www.hemmings.com )
Saturday May 31st, Bay State Corvette Club Autocross at Devens

See you Wednesday,

Andy

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder about our next two club events.

This Sunday, we are going to Lebanon Valley Raceway for Hemmings Motor News' 7th annual Musclepalooza. We expect over 600 muscle cars to participate in day of drag racing and show n' shine. The weather looks to be perfect.

If you plan on racing, my friend Rocco, will be leading a group of cars up from K-Mart in Milford at 6:30 AM. If you want to get a later start, Gina and I are leading a 2nd group of cars up from K-Mart at 8:30 AM. These are departure times, so please be on time.

On Saturday, May 31st, we are holding our 2nd autocross of the season at Devens. Please let me know if you plan on going up, and would like to caravan up with me. I plan on leaving from K-Mart in Milford at 6:30 AM.

We have some social events planned for June. I will get that information out to all of you this weekend.

Thanks,

Hi Everyone,

Two weeks ago, 6 of us participated in Musclepalooza VII at Lebanon Valley Raceway in New York. Over 700 cars participated this year. We also just completed our 2nd successful autocross of the season. We had almost 60 cars at last Saturday's autocross at Devens. We will have a full update of each event at the June 11th monthly meeting.

On Sunday, June 8th, The Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline is hosting their annual Corvette Day on the lawn of the musuem. Gina and I will not be able to attend. You can call 617-522-6547, or go on line to find out more about this event.

On Friday evening, June 13th, the club is going to dinner and the movies at Cinema Pub in North Attleboro. More details to follow.

On Friday evening, June 20th, The Eastern Mass Corvette Club is hosting their 4th annual Past Hop to raise money for charity. It will once again be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall In Franklin. We voted at last month's meeting to make this a club event. I will have tickets at the June meeting. Let's try for a good turnout for this worthy cause. Over 100 tickets have already been sold, so you will see at least 50 other Corvettes in the parking lot. I will have tickets available at the June meeting.

Hi Everyone,

We have 3 great events lined up for the next 3 weeks.

Saturday - September 27th. Sue and George are putting the final touches on our day trip to Newport. Details will follow shortly. This has always been a fun event.

Sunday - September 28th, our 4th and final autocross of the year at Devens. Bert, Pete, Brian Cunningham and I had a great time last week, so you won't want to miss this event.

Sunday - October 5th, our annual Fall Foliage Cruise, to be shared with our friends at Eastern Mass Corvette Club. I am sending along all of the information about this event. Please be sure to RSVP to me by 9/26.

2008 Fall Foliage Cruise
Sunday, October 5th
11:00 AM

Meeting Location: K-Mart Shopping Center Parking Lot, Rte 109 in Milford, exit 19 off Rte 495

Meeting Time: 11:00 AM

Departure Time: 11:30 AM

Destination: Collings Foundation in Stow, Ma.

RSVP needed by Friday, September 26th.

Details: We will depart from the K-Mart parking lot in Milford at 11:30 AM. I will lead us on a scenic drive through Hopkinton, Marlboro, and Hudson, on our way to the Collings Foundation.

Due to the large crowd expected to turn out, I was not able to secure a restaurant to eat at. However, you can call me or E-mail me and I can make suggestions to you for local eateries for breakfast before or a late lunch afterward, if you want to go in small groups.

The Collings Foundation is a private collection owned by the Collings family that has on display over 50 special interest cars, including Model As, Model Ts, Stanley Steamers, Bugattis, Packards, Rolls Royces, Duesenburgs, Auburns, Cords, Cadillacs, Ferraris, Porsches, Formula One cars, Indy cars, Sprint cars, etc. They also have on display World War I and World War II American and European fighter planes. The Foundation has its own private runway, and we can expect to see at least one of the planes fly. Scenic flights in a World War I trainer plane, to view the fall foliage, may be available as well.

We will be led on a two hour tour of the Foundation and its collection by Mr. Collings. The tour will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. There is a $5.00 charge per person, which goes into the upkeep of this unbelievable private collection.

The Collings family is opening their collection to us to view. It is very important that we have a good turnout. Please make every effort to attend this event and be sure to RSVP no later than Friday, September 26th.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday's fall foliage cruise proved to be a success. We joined our friends from Eastern Mass Corvette Club. There were 67 people and 34 Corvettes in attendance. 26 people and 11 Corvettes were from Bay State Corvette Club. Leaving cloudy skies behind, we left K-Mart for our 22 mile journey to the foundation.

Brian, from the Collings Foundation, led us on a tour of this remarkable collection of vintage automobiles and aircraft. Pictures will be posted shortly. After the tour, 16 of us went to the Sky Restaurant for a good meal before heading home.

On Columbus Day, Monday October 13th, Sue and George will be leading us on a scenic tour of Newport. We will depart from K-Mart at 9:00 AM. More details will be available at Wednesday's meeting.

Hello,

I posted up some videos I took at the last autocross.

I managed to get a bunch of cars, so if you went, there's a chance I got yours.

Sorry for the ShAcKy CaMeRa.
I shot with a handheld camera on long distance zoom.

I also took this onboard video with a handheld camera.

Subject: Bay State Corvette Club Festval of Trees Event and Holiday Party

Hi Everyone,

On Sunday, November 23rd, the club is cruising to Methuen to attend the annual Festival of Trees. For those of you have not attended this event with us in recent years, over 100 groups from the Methuen area decorate artificial Christmas Trees from 1 foot high to 12 feet high, in 100's of different themes. Raffles tickets are sold for each tree. We have already had several members win trees in the past. This is a really nice event that will help put you in the holiday spirit.

We will leave from the K-Mart parking lot in Milford at 1:00 PM, arriving in Methuen just before 2:00 PM. For those of you who want to meet us there, let me know, and I will send along directions. After we attend the festival, we will all go out for an early dinner, before heading home.

Don't forget, we are holding our holiday party at the Chateau on Rte 1 in Norwood on Saturday evening, December 27th. We encourage you to invite family and friends. Tickets are $25 per person. I will be sending out a menu and more details later this week. In order to keep costs down, there will be no Yankee swap at the holiday party. Music will be provided. We will have a swap at our Anniversary Party in February, at Sue and George's home.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Everyone,

The club is really coming on strong. We have had very good attendance at our last 3 monthly meetings and at our last several club functions. We already have 24 confirmed members coming to the Holiday Party at the Chateau on Saturday evening, December 27th. That represents almost our entire club. I am only waiting to hear back from 4 more members. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are going to be able to make it. We have room for up to 100 people, so feel free to bring guests. I do have to give the restaurant a final head count on Friday, December 19th.

Elections were held at our December meeting. Congratulations to our new club officers for 2009-10:
President - Brian Cunningham
Vice President - Tom Cleveland
Treasurer - Sue DiGregorio
Secretary - Andy Tenore
NCCC Governor/Membership Director - Andy Tenore
Competition - George DiGregorio
Webmaster - Brian Cunningham
Club Store - Marie Monroe

On a personal note, I would like to say how proud I am of the members of the club for stepping up to accept these club officer positions. As you all know, I am also in another Corvette club. Even though it is large (85 members) and active, nominations for club officers are open, and no one will run for President or Social Director. Spindle City on the North Shore, who has been around for 30 years, almost dissolved. A large club, no one wanted tor run for President. The club decided to re-organize itself by eliminating all officers, dues, and club sponsored functions. Instead, members who are interested in getting together will do so on their own, by contacting one another. Another large club, just west of us, is just getting back on its feet, after turmoil at the top.

just a head up for those not on our mailing list.

I'm getting a lot of positive responses about switching the meetings to Sunday nights.

A lot of newer members live further away then when the meetings were first setup.

Sounds like the attendance will go up quite a bit by doing this.

I'll keep you posted.

Baystate Corvette Club 39th Anniversary Party

When: Saturday, February 14, 2009
Where: Sue & George DiGregorio's house,
Time: 7:00pm

Yankee Swap Gift Theme: RED ($20)

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is staying warm during these cold, snowy days. It's hard to believe we've gotten so much snow already!

As we usually do every year at our Anniversary parties, each couple brings a dish to share so we create a "pot luck" for this event. It has worked out really well in the past. This is where you can make your favorite dish to share and we don't eat the same ol' things! I will be making a meat lasagna (or two) this year as a main course. I'll also provide shrimp cocktail and cheese and crackers in the appetizer category. We will also provide rum, vodka, gin and tequila for those who like mixed drinks.

Please email me if you are going to attend so we have an approximate head count, and include what you would like to bring for the pot luck. If you can "reply to all" so everyone can see what foods are being made, it might help to round out the menu.

George and I look forward to having you over for this party!

Sue

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.

The next meeting of the Bay State Corvette Club will be at Doc’s Sports Bar on Sunday, February 08, 2009 AT 6:30 PM. We plan on arriving at 6:00 PM for dinner. Let’s all try to make an effort to be there. Doc’s is easy to get to. Take exit 19 off Rte 495. If you are coming from the north, take a right at the bottom of the exit ramp. If you are coming from the south, take a left at the bottom of the exit ramp. You will now be on Rte 109 heading west. Take a right immediately after the Burger King, less than ¼ of a mile from the exit. Follow this road for ½ of a mile until your next set of lights. Take a left at the lights. Doc’s will be ¼ of a mile on your right, (on Rte 16).

Hello Everyone,

As we discussed the February meeting, I am putting together a tour of Callaway Corvettes in Old Lyme, Ct. The event will be held on Saturday, March 7th, at 10:00 AM. We will leave from the K-Mart parking lot at 8:15 AM sharp. Whether you have or have not toured Callaway's facilities in the past, you will certainly want to join us, as they have many new cars that they are working on.

I need to get back to them by Friday, February 2/27 with a final head count. If you plan on going, please let me know by then.

Thanks,

Andy

Subject: Bay State Corvette Club Spring Events

Hi Everyone,

On Saturday, March 7th, an enthusiastic group of 27 Corvette Enthusiasts from EMCC, Bay State, and the Corvette Forum cruised down to Old Lyme, Ct to Callaway Corvette. Callaway's Mike Vendetto took us on an informative tour of their facilities. While we were there we got to drool over some of Callaway's latest offerings. After an informative tour, many of us headed back to Providence, where we stopped for lunch in the Italian section of Federal Hill.

On Saturday, April 4th, the Bowtie Shop will be hosting its 3rd annual open house. The Bowtie shop offers restoration and repair for Corvettes and other special interest cars. Among the cars on display will be Joe Scafidi's recently purchased 53 Corvette and Joe's Z06, which may not sound too special, until you realize that it is an ultra rare 63 Z06. The open house runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We will leave from the McDonald's on Rte 30 in Natick at 9:30 AM. The McDonald's is 3/4 of a mile west of exit 13 on the Mass Pike, and just behind the Wal Mart on Rte 9 in Framingham. There will be parking next door at Shopper's World, for those of you who want to car pool. Please let me know if you plan on meeting us at McDonalds.

Bay State Corvette Club's 1st two autocrosses will be held on Sunday May 3rd and Sunday May 31st, at the Devens Recreational Facility in Ayer. You must pre-register to run, but all you have to do is show up to watch. To register, go to Baystatecorvetteclub.com and click on the link for NESHOC. You will be able to register on that site.

The good weather is here, so let's get out there and drive our Corvettes.

Subject: Bay State Corvette Club Update

Hi Everyone,

1st and foremost, the club would like to welcome our newest members, Helene and Vinny Carmagnani, and Frank and Rosemary Fontana. We also welcomed guests Russ Gregoire and his wife to our April meeting, which was well attended by 27 members and guests. Club membership now stands at 26 primary members, 12 associate members, and 1 lifetime member.

Since we have agreed to help Adrienne run the American Sports Car and Pony Car Show on Saturday, May 16th, we need to have members step up to the plate to help out with set up, assigning cars to classes, directing cars to their designated spots, and clean up. So far we have Ed Moschella, Pete Carrabba, Dave Crawford, Brian Cunningham, Dave Flowers, Gina Tenore, and Andy Tenore volunteering to help. I am confident that we can get at least six more members to help the event run smoothly. Please consider helping us out. Let me know if you will be able to help. Adrienne and I will keep you all updated.

Next month's meeting is scheduled for Sunday, May 10th, which is also Mother's Day. There was some talk of changing the meeting date, but I don't think that will be possible. Sunday May 3rd is our 1st autocross of the season. Members will be committed to that event from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On Sunday May 17th we are participating in Southshore Corvette's Shakedown Cruise, which will take the better part of the day as well.
Unless members have a better idea, the May meeting will remain on Sunday May 10th at Doc's in Milford.

I will send out more information on the Shakedown Cruise, as far as meeting time and location, etc. This is a well attended event. Usually over 100 Corvettes attend each year.

Have a great weekend!!

Hi Everyone,

We are entering our busy season! It is nice to see that the club is very healthy. We have added 8 members alone, in the last 3 months, to bring total membership to 44.

May looks to be very busy.
Sunday, May 3rd - Bay State Autocross at Devens. You must pre-register to run, but only have to show up to watch or ride along. If you want to follow me up, please let me know. I am leaving from the K-Mart parking lot in Milford at 7:00 AM.

Sunday, May 10th, 6:30 PM, our monthly meeting at Doc's Sports Bar in Milford

Saturday, May 16th - American Sports Car and Pony Car Show at Larz Anderson Museum of Transportation in Brookline. We are helping to run this event, so we need volunteers. As of now, the following members have committed to helping out-Dave Flowers, Ed Moschella, Dave Crawford, Brian Cunningham, Pete Carrabba, and Andy Tenore. Adrienne has about 3 or 4 people on her end that are going to help us out. We could definitely use another 1/2 dozen volunteers to help out. All money will be going to help the fight against cancer. If you want to pre-register to show your car, contact Adrienne at admin@brooklinecarshow.org.

Sunday, May 17th - South Shore Corvette Club's Annual Shakedown Cruise to the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Ma, followed by lunch at Barber's Crossing North in Sterling, Ma. If the weather is good, expect close to 150 Corvettes. I will let you know where and when we will meet, later this week.

Sunday, May 24th - Hemming's Musclepalooza IX at Lebanon Valley Dragway in Lebanon, NY. If you want to relive what the drag strips across the country looked like in the mid 70's, you wont want to miss this event. You can expect to see over 500 muscle cars from the 60's through today at this event. There is drag racing all day, along with a nice Show N' Shine. It is only about a 2 hour drive, and you can tour the scenic Berkshires on the way home.

Sunday, May 31st - Our 2nd autocross of the season at Devens.

Hope to see many of you at these events.

Andy

Hi Everyone,

Our June meeting will be held on Sunday, June 14th, at Doc's in Milford. Meeting time is 6:30 PM.

We already have some fun events planned for the month.

Thursday, June 4th:
Mass Cruiser's Cruise Night at Patriot's Place on Rte 1 in Foxboro, (next to Gillette Stadium). This cruise night is held every other Thursday, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. I went last week, (took a vacation day). There were over 500 cars! The hours are 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. There are also restaurants and shops within walking distance. They do run a shuttle for those who don't want to walk. Gina and I will be going on June 4th too. (I took another vacation day.)

Sunday, June 14th:
The NCRS/New England Chapter is sponsoring CORVETTE DAY at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline. All Corvettes are welcomed. The show hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is a non-judged family event. Please contact me if you need additional information.

Saturday, June 27th:
We are going to Pawtucket, RI to see the PawSox beat Syracuse. Game time is 6:05 PM. More details will follow at the June meeting.

Sunday, June 28th:
The Elm Bank Antique and Custom Auto Show (open to Corvettes) will be held at the Elm Bank Estate on Rte 16 on the Natick/Wellesley town line. This is a great location for a show. There are large, well maintained grass fields to park on, for show cars and spectators. Elm bank has acres of beautiful botanical gardens for all nature lovers. Car show registration starts at 7:00 AM. Show hours are 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Thanks,

Andy

Subject: Bay State Corvette Club Update for June 18th

Hi Everyone,

We had a lower turnout at June's meeting, compared to our last 4 meetings, but we still accomplished a lot. This Sunday, there are 3 events that you may be interested in, if it doesn't rain :-(

Sunday Morning Holliston will be holding it's Antique and Special Interest Auto Show at the Holliston Historical Society on Washington St. Cars are displayed early in the morning. Plan on arriving around 8:30-9:30 AM.

Imperial Ford in the little town of Mendon is sponsoring the Corvette-Mustang Challenge Show on Sunday. Hours are 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Expect many cars to show up if the weather holds out. Even if you just go to see the new Corvettes, Mustangs, and Challengers that Imperial will have on display will make the trip worth it. Don't forget the 100+ guitars and rock n' roll memorabilia that they have on display.

If you are heading to the Cape, Hyannis will be closing Main St. for a car show in their downtown.

We are rescheduling our PawSox game for later in the season, as the June dates are sold out.

The next club event will be the Elm Bank Antuque, Classic, and Custom Auto Show at the Elm Bank Estate on located on Rte 16 at the Natick/Wellesly town line. The show is Sunday, June 28th. Show hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Show car registration opens at 7:00 AM. In addition to the 300 or so cars, there are beautiful botanical gardens around the 10 acre estate.
If you need more detailed directions or have any specific questions, please E-mail me back.

Looking down the road, on Saturday evening, July 25th, we will be going to the Redwood Drive-in (restaurant) for some good 50's style eating, followed by an evening at the Mendon Drive-in, to see a double feature of 1st run movies. Corvettes will be optional, but definitely doable at each location.

Doc's Sports Bar will be closed on Sundays in July and August. Two of our newest members, Rosemary and Frank Fontanna, have graciously offered to have a cookout at their home for our July meeting on July 12th. The meeting time will be 4:00 PM. This would be a great time to get a new club photo for the web site, to add to the 5 year old photograph that we currently display on our web site. More details will follow. So, please, make every effort to attend on July 12th. For those of you who always show up, I know you'll be there again. For those who attend a meeting every 5 years, why don't you mark July 12th on your calendar. You'll be off the hook until 20014 :-)

If any club members would like to hold the August meeting at their home, or have a suggestion where it can be held, please let Brian or me know.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Everyone,

Well, the rain has certainly put a damper on things this summer so far. So, with only 8 weeks left of "summer", we should all try to make an effort to get involved in every event that we can.

Rosemary and Frank Fontanna will be hosting our July monthly meeting at their home in Franklin.
Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Soda will be provided. Side dishes will be welcomed.

Please email for directions.

This would be a great time to get a new club photo for the web site, to add to the 5 year old photograph that we currently display on our web site. More details will follow. If any club members would like to hold the August meeting at their home, or have a suggestion where it can be held,

Corvettes will be optional, but definitely doable at each location.

Sue and George will be holding the August meeting of the Bay State Corvette Club at their home in Milford on Sunday, August 16th. Details will be made available at the July meeting.

From David Crawford:
I ran across another Cruise night if anyone is interested.
Location is CAP discount Auto Parts
5 Fortune Boulevard
Milford, Ma.
Every Wednesday night
6pm till dusk
May 27th through Sept 2.
Sponsored by CAP & STN Car Club

We are also going to be going to a PawSox game later this summer. Look for details.
Also, don't forget, Mass Cruisers holds their 600+ Thursday evening Cruise at Patriot's Place every other Thursday evening. Tonight's event will be rained out, but we can only hope for sunny skies on July 16th.

Every Saturday evening, Gold's Gym on Rte 109 in Medway also puts on a nice cruise night, drawing 40-60 cars.

New England Dragway will be sponsoring Chevyfest on Saturday and Sunday August 1st and 2nd. This is a great way to see an all Chevy show of drag racing, show n' shine, and a used car corral.

See you soon.

Andy

Subject: August Bay State Corvette Club Meeting Reminder

Hello Everyone,

I want to remind everyone that our August meeting will be held at Sue and George's home on Sunday, August 9th at 4:00 PM. Sue and George will have a cookout followed by the meeting. Please contact Sue and George for more details. Unfortunately, Gina and I will be away in Vermont for the weekend, so we will miss the meeting.

Below are topics that should be discussed at Sunday's meeting:
Our August meeting was a huge success. Hosted as a cookout by Rosemary and Frank Fontana, over 20 members showed up. I will send the pictures to Brian so that he can post them on our website, sorry for the delay.

Pawsox baseball game, tentative date of 8/22 with alternative date of 9/5. Dave Crawford has the details (hopefully not too late to purchase tickets).

I will contact Kristen at Doc's later this week to see if we can return to Doc's in September. I will let George or Brian know before the meeting. If Doc's is not available, we will have to find a new meeting location.

Check out Pinks All Out on Speedvision to hopefully catch a glimpse of Rocco and his screaming yellow C5.

Gina, John R, Chris D, Tom S and his family, attended the most recent cruise night at Patriot's Place in Foxboro on July 30th. Over 800 cars were in attendance!!!!. The next cruise night at Patriot's Place will be August 13th.

We should discuss our Fall Foliage Cruise. We can tag along with Eastern Mass Corvette Club, as we have done the last 4 or 5 years, or we can plan our own. I don't have details yet on the Eastern Mass event at this time, but I will by Sunday and will pass it on to George and Brian.

We have two autocrosses in September, Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 27th. I will be leaving from K-Mart in Milford at 7:00 AM on the 12th if you would like to cruise up with me.
I have received a check from Ed Stebbins at NESHOC for $700 for our two May autocrosses. I will mail the check to Sue.

Sandie and Paul Robinson have re-joined the club. I will mail their check to Sue.

And.... :-( for me, :-) for Dave Waterman, I have sold my beautiful 99 FRC to Dave. I am temporarily Corvetteless, but hope to be back in the driver's seat of another Corvette next season.

A friend of mine is selling his 76 Corvette. He is asking $6,000. It is a nice car for the money, dark green with saddle leather interior-in very good condition, and a 4 speed. The tires are very good too. The car has 101,000 original miles on it. The rear bumper does need to be repaired replaced, as it is separating from the body along the top seam. Overall a nice car-nice color combination, and a 4 speed, for short money. It has the L-48 engine in it. If you are interested, call Ted at Barnstorm Music in Medway.

Helene, your shirt is in. You can pick it up at Tri-Valley Sports in Medway. It is already paid for.

Andy

Hi Everyone,

As a reminder,, our October meeting will be held Sunday, October 11th, at Doc's Sports Bar at 6:30 PM. Dues for 2010 are due. Primary members are $40 each.. Associate membership is $10. Checks should be made out to the Bay State Corvette Club and mailed to the club at PO Box 5865, Holliston, Ma. 01746. You can also bring your payment to the meeting on Sunday evening. I must have all renewals by the end of October. If you have any questions regarding renewals, please contact me.

As a reminder, our fall foliage cruise will be on Sunday, October 18th. It looks like it is going to be a spectacular event. I have already heard back from 8 members who plan on attending. While an RSVP is not necessary, it will be greatly appreciated. We would hate to leave anyone behind, which has happened in the past because we were never infromed that you were going, you showed up late, and we left without you. I don't want that to happen to anyone again, so please let me know if you plan on attending.

Thanks,

Andy

For 2010 we look forward to taking over fully the dates at Devens.

I'd like to thank all those who made it possible, especially the volunteers who make running the events possible

Hi All,
Ed Stebbins from NESHOC just informed me that he has decided to no longer run the auto-x events at Devens. He contacted them a few days ago to transfer the 2010 dates to BSCC. I will be working on organizing this throughout the winter but it looks like we should have a much better event than prior years.

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that we have our November business meeting this Sunday, November 8th, at Doc's Sports Bar in Milford. Meeting time is 6:30 PM. Arrive early for food.

If you have not already sent in your dues for 2010, Sunday is the cut-off date, as I will be sending NCCC a check on Monday morning.

Don't forget to mark your calendar on December 12th for our annual holiday party, this year held at the lovely home of Leslie and Joe Scafidi.

Next year, the club is celebrating our 40th year!!!! This is a very special occurrence. Bring your ideas to the meeting on Sunday on how we can celebrate it.

Thanks,

Andy

Hi Everyone,

Don't forget your special Valentine, and what better way to show him or her how much you care, then to take them to dinner, at Doc's Sports Bar on Sunday, at 6:30 PM. That is also the same time as our monthly meeting.

Next Saturday, 2/27, Rocco and Gale are hosting our 40th anniversary party. Details will be worked out this weekend and discussed at the meeting on Sunday. The party will be at Rocco's home in Medway, about 2 miles away from Doc's.

On Sunday, we are racing in a mini-Gand Prix at F-1. I need at least 10 drivers to sign up, no later than 2/18. The cost is $80 per person, for 45 laps of racing, (3 races). I have received promises from 14 people but only payment from 6. I had to put a $400 non-refundable deposit down, so I am hoping that at least 4 more people are able to get their payment to me by 2/18. We have to be there at 2:30 for driver orientation, with racing starting at 3:00 PM. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Talk to you soon,

Andy
