Grace turned 50,000 miles on the way to Carlisle this weekend—somehow fitting. We weren't able to get a shot of the odometer at exactly 50k; it was still dark outside (about 5:45 am) when it "rolled over" somewhere on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

We noticed more 50th Anniversary "sisters" at Corvettes at Carlisle this weekend—anecdotal feedback suggests that this is because many of these cars are now passing to their second or third owners, people who are quite excited to be buying a somewhat notable Corvette coupe or convertible.

Lauren (the 1985) has her brutal charms and Louis (the 2012) is stunningly competent, but Grace was our first and she's still my favorite.

She's a beauty - I remember being mesmerized by one on the showroom floor when they were new.

You mention 2nd owners... a friend here bought one about 3 years ago with obscenely low miles. Got a killer kickass deal on it, too... I want to say it was like 11k miles and $26k for a 6spd roadster. Car is cherry clean.

Congrats on hitting 50k!!!! Lovely car! Love the colour combo and the subtle champaign rims.

3500 miles per year average. She can last decades with proper maintenance. (which I know is done). Enjoy the ride ........
