DARNIT!! I replaced the gas with some fresh stuff to make sure its good. Cleaned out the carb quick with some carb cleaner, replaced the plug and nuttin. Its gotta be a fuel problem. I wonder if I can get a new carb cheap locally? Either way the carb is coming off tomorrow and hopefully I will have it running by next weekend.

I assume this is a Briggs?

do you have spark?

a few tricks....

1) remove the plug and heat it with a lighter.

2) hit it with some starting fluid, if it fires, then it's fuel. Otherwise, you have a spark problem.

3) If it's the carb, I would be it's the float... you don't need to replace it, unless the the needle housing is bad. I would simply hit the needle with some carb cleaner. If the needle is bad, then the housing might be, too.

Yeah, I think its the carb. I put gas into the chamber and after a pull or two it will fire a couple times. Plug has a nice bright blue spark to it Excellent tips bogus! I would have never have thought to heat up the plug to help it along! I did take apart the float and there is alot of build up on all the parts. I scraped off the needle but the spring on the back side of its in bad shape and dont look like its working anymore.
