Thanks guys
Shrade....now theres a name I havent seen in awhile!! Fun doing one of these once in awhile. Been sitting around awhile not the example of my cleanest work but it is what it is. Should support some power Id think Had a slight issue with the radius plate sure this goes a little more than it does. Next one shooting for high 3xx we will see. Gotta get moved with a real workspace though gave up my garage awhile back makes doing this tough for the time being. think more can be had with less work just in the right places. Some epoxy work inside would do the trick Plus #8 has no radus to pull from so it needs more attention than the others to keep up. Even GM oversized it compared to the others but the "starved cyl" is addressable anyway if youre willing to spend the time. What these would pull on a running motor could be a different story as the bench cannot simulate a running engine. Interesting stuff anyway. I should be working on my ride I dont even own an LT or L98 car lol. Call it OCD Trying to get some billet TB plates and better gaskets made all I see out there are cheap looking plates. Any interest let me know.

Didnt get a chance to do a before on this one.
Next piece I pick up that will happen FWIW this one when flowed had all ports and injector bungs blocked off to give an honest #. Theres more in it. #8 really lags and requires more work

Hows the autocross going Brian?
Thanks, I just ported and flowed an LT1 but didnt get a stock # just after The LT4 Im working on did one before port and one roughed out do it again when Im finished. Just wanted to see what others came up with for comparison. Hate to spend more taking it to yet a different flow bench if I have to. One ive been using appears very accurate but one # seemed high to me. Did it again and came out the same. Still... Last yr Ive done every GM Vette intake stock and aftermarket from 85-96 wanted a little more info to eventually put some hard data up just want it as accurate as possible. Time consuming and expensive project lol.

Cannot find any reliable info on what these intakes flow
Flowed an LT1 after porting and did a before and after on an LT4 last week but kind of suspect on the before #. Just like to find what may be a ballpark accurate # on both Maybe theres some info on the Edelbrock one also??

Could have sworn there were responses to this thread I can only see post #1 on threads now?
Anyway used to remove it I dont think theres any real gain but wont hurt if you want to. Just leave the EGR bump there. They are good intakes you can get a LOT of air through them.

Could be the shifter
Mine has always felt kind of notchy Rebuilt it twice thinking synchros (trans only had 1500 mi when I bought it) new slave, reconfiguring the geometry of the rod, throw etc etc Never thought it was the shifter B and M ripper when they first came out Bet a Hurst fixes it. If not I got a stock one. THey (b and M)are real notchy on the ZF so maybe....?

Brad Camino has been running for a few yrs
Has a solid roller stroker in it now Its a beast but unfortunately it sits a LOT due to my sched. Sold the Z to a freind yrs ago when I hit hard times its his DD. AFter driving it all summer with a stuck stat he cant kill that thing. Its looking a little rough around the edges as usage and the sun has gotten to it. Not pretty anymore but still a great car. Sometimes miss it just cant afford any more toys right now. You came up one day when I was putting a water pump on it and finishing things up. Long drive just to help someone out appreciated it. That black beast you had sounded good. That one was running 11s no?

Good to know you guys are making them in case
Wanted to start making some others only out of a better material. I never liked those paper type gaskets they tear too easy. Yes they are cheap and they do work I just want a little more. Looking into other disc stuff to T off of also. All depends on their setup quote. Its going to be real pricy then need to figure if its still worth it. The idea of actual tool stamped pieces of a real high quality material (albeit little more $) theres an audience for both. Hope so anyway. Good luck on the venture!

Betw. #1 and 3 poss others there is a bolt boss right in the path of the entry that can be taken down too. Just use some sealer on the bolt.
Having an LT4 flowed tonight hopefully has to keep up with a 318 cfm head, just had an LT1 done see how the #s look. SO much easier than TPI stuff thats for sure GM castings sure are soft metal!

Im getting some made myself
Superram, oversized TPI, some single copper exh gaskets and more They will be stamped rather than laser cut and of a way better material. Setup is super expensive though See if I can afford the startup and there will be more and more GOOD quality gaskets available soon lol. Whatevers hard to find letme know they will be available again!

Back in the 40s Drs used to treat cancer with an IV of Vitamin C. Anywhere from 150-200000 mg. It kills the cells off and leaves your body undamaged.
Chemo kills about everythign and is full of carcinogens. Of course it comes back with chemo..talked with some Drs about doing that to me . Been spending afew hrs a mo in the cancer center myself. Perhaps someone in Mexico would Most of todays Drs may not want to do that the pharm cos want them to prescribe drugs. Theres no money in cures. If you can find someone Brad it works. Cancer hates Vit C and cannot survive high doses of it.

Should be able to use R just takes a little more effort I have no solenoid on mine been using it for yrs like that
You can get a Viper input shaft in there but will need to cut the end down some and machine the tailshaft housing for a proper fit There are plenty of aftermarket gear sets you can get they are pricy though. 6th is so damn tall..stuff isnt cheap Put the steel 3-4 shift fork, billet keyways, the carbon blocker rings in should hold good. To those trying to convert the Pull style clutch takes .030 at the disk to fully disengage any less it will be notchy any more you may overextend the slave. If youre using the Fbody slave the travel at the rod inside is no more than 1 inch. Hope this helps. Push type LS1 better agreed.

Used to always remove it also didnt do the latest one just cant see any gain.
Only thing is its easier to get in there to clean things up. Cleaned this one a million ways from Sunday and stull cant get that oil staining off it. I run the roof down a little farther like will says watch out for busting through if youre working on that hump about half way. Took mine out to a 1284 gasket. Have the new AFR gasket but it may pish the boundaries of sealing meaning it would but unles someone had AFRs it would be a waste.

Happens on new ones too cast cores
Dont spend any money on it Even with porting the heads intake more cam etc it would pull harder up to 60 or so but those C5, 6 will still leave you. Dont think youll be happy. the TPI isnt meant for those kind of road runs

Ditch those creams there are side effects not so nice
Get a script for some enthanate or cypionate 200mg Do 1 shot/200 mg per week that is not a huge dose. Night and day difference. Diabetic also mainly eat protein, carbs are limited to oatmeal brown rice fresh veggies. 1 day a week I may eat out once or twice. You can make gains...went from 191 to 242 and lean. Down to 223 had some serious health issues that have held me back. Have a 60% blockage in my carotid that cant be operated on so the heart is weak so I gotta be careful on heart rate. IGF1 is legal and works real well. .affordable too. Look on the freepeptides type sites. If youre worried about estrogen get some tamoxifen. My estrogen is off the charts high and have no issue Guys that get man boobs are doing huge amounts of test like 800-1000mg/wk + then dont do post cylce therapy

Similar elevation to LACR Id say it was running pretty strong.
Really need 60ft and mph as others say to make a better judgement call. Sticky tires could net you a much better time sure you know.

Eaton makes a great posi unit
Only need 1 of those posi additive tubes, more is not better IMO youll launch better with a heavier flywheel knowing the characteristic of a heavily ported LT5 opinions will vary

Starting to put it back together tonight if the scattershield fits. Other than that the only thing to do is get some miles on it. And break it again lol. Guess if youre in snow country those to do lists keep you busy.

What bogus said if the car is solid meaning not rotten youre getting the better end of the deal.
C3s are timeless machines. It wont drive/handle as nice but it shouldnt, its a littl old. Cool factor overrides it all imo. The dash/gauge set up is awesome.

Id have to agree with Bogus...sometimes life hands you bowls of chit one after the other after the other, unless it lets up eventually you get buried. Others yes they spend spend spend without a care in the world. Know some at work that file every 8-10 yrs, crazy.
Never say myself filing the big B but thats whats happening next month. Still have an 800 score, no lates simply cant do it and do basic living stuff;exhausted all options so it is what it is, lots of lessons learned. It may prevent me from getting a better job may not. If it did I think its BS, lifes ride doesnt always go smooth.

Used to have a later Javelin SST with the 401. It was so ugly we called it the mouth. Ugly faded puke ornage no frill or bumper front calipers locked up at random a true $400 pos. That thing would do rolling burnouts for as long as you wanted. Nothing like torque!

Right car it could look ok but you cant see much of it in a C4. Cleaning it would be a pain. Sometimes black is best it hides a lot.
Up to your personal tastes though the one you pulled out looked pretty clean.

Just spoke with Carlina Clutch (Rob?) may be a spec3 in my future. Have a Centerforce DF now seems Ok he said above 4k the weights almost create lift rather than downforce. No slippage yet...
Also for those that have a ZR1 he sells the PP bolts with aftermarket clutches same as the LT1 T56 PP bolt 10079898 Have to say honest guy he could have sold me a set but claimed they arent TTY bolts and dont need em. Ill be buying my next clutch throgh them.

If its too short it will push the tailshaft in and possibly give you some damage, can also screw with the pinion. WHen you accelerate/decelerat/go over bumps the housing wants to move up or down some pulling the DS in or out a touch.
I do not know if the Cbeam could prevent this Im going by straight axle stuff. If it is contacting they shouldnt have let the car out the door. Do you hear any vibration/strange harmonic noises? Any signs of aliens?
