Hi, newbie from Colorado here... I've got a '90 ZR-1 that I've had for about a week. I'm already getting good info from the forums here, thanks a lot!

It's my 3rd Corvette, but the first without a carburator so I'm a little over my head. I see some Helms manuals in my future.

a thought... you are going to be eating some serious parts costs... when you see a part (think engine) for sale at a good price, it's wise to grab it. Used... who cares... grab it.

Sounds like good advice. Just replacing the tires is gonna be @#$#@ expensive, at least a 1000 bucks. Fortunately the engine's in pretty good shape for such a low mileage vehicle. After the new shoes, I'll be looking to replace the clutch.

What kind of tires are you looking at? You'll likely not find your best deal at a local tire store. Check online with tirerack.com, discounttire.com etc. to find the best deal on whatever you're considering. Tire Rack also has a lot of great info on the tires they sell, technical, reviews and full specs. They're an excellent resource.

Tire Rack was pretty good. Printed off their quote on some Goodyear F1's, then called a local Goodyear dealer and had them match the price + shipping.

Is it the black one that was on craigslist with the interior that needed hosed out? I was thinking of buying that car for a little while. It looks like it would have cleaned up nice.

I've never seen a Z in person. I hope I do someday... Of course, it will probably end up costing me a LOT of money if I get close to one.
