I installed a Magna Flow cat back system on my 90 Convertible. They look great and I like the sound. My questions is in regard to heat shields. The old (factory) system had them (to protect the spring?). I was thinking of wrapping the same area with exhaust wrap. Is is necessary or is it something I don't have to worry about. Thanks for your help, Jack

No problem with heat and my Magnaflows on my 85, no heat shield that I recall either

:me2:

I have the magnaflow catback and haven't noticed any problems without a heat shield.
