Pete K. suggested I put a transmission cooler and deep trans pan on my tranny after installing the new TQ converter. Any of you Gurus done this already and want to tell me what to buy?

Thanks

I wish I could change mine, but I have a convertible. Check out www.sommitracing.com .

I don't run a deep pan but I do run a big-assed, stand alone cooler. There is a deep factory steel pan with a drain that was used on suburbans and such in the mid-late 90s. 4L60Es and 700Rs take the same pan BTW. I bought a steel replacement pan with plug for a 700R and use it on my 4L60E. Nothing wrong with a deeper pan, I just haven't seen the need. My trans temps don't get much over 170, ever. It's built to the hilt and I run a 3000 stall converter too.

How do you like your 3000 stall converter? I just got one sent to me by PeteK. I ordered the 9.5" 3000 stall. It won't be put in until later this summer, and I'm anxious about how its street manners will be.

Here's a link to the pan I found. It can't hurt to have it and its not too expensive.
