What are the pros and cons of replacing my existing lines with braided stainless steel lines? I was reading on another site that deterioration is a factor? I would greatly appreciated your ideas. Thanks, Jack

I plan on using them with my wifes 87. It will make running the lines easier than those damned hard lines.

I don't know about deterioration, tho... I have stainless brake lines and they are fine.

They alway seem to be in the way. Good point on the brake lines. It would be nice to see some how too material to read up on the installation as well, but I have not been able to locate anything but bits and pieces.

I dont like braided stainless, anything it rubs up against its going to eventually wear through. Sometimes if the fit is tight your options are limited unless youre real good bending lines. Personally Id bend em up.

For my remote oil cooler lines, I just used standard Aeroquip high pressure hose. It's cheaper than the braided stuff and the fittings and ends are steel, not aluminum. I like that better. Having worked with this stuff for years on trucks and heavy equipment, I know it'll give years of trouble-free service, too.
