Why is it that when I have Monday off, the rest of the week seems to go slower than usual, instead of faster?

I don't get it.

Four day weeks just seem to drag on forever...

I was taking the trash out today, and decided my car would look so much better if it sat two inches lower. I wish I was mechanically inclined...

One of you gearheads needs to move to Colorado so I can pay you in steak and beer to work on my car, dammit!

I really need to just dive in, and learn how do do this stuff on my own... I need more tools and a bigger place to work though. Maybe someday.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I would love to have a bigger place. Me and the wife have been constructing in our heads of our dream house. When I retire (for good) we are going to build a log home. It will have an attached 2 car garage and a detached 3 car garage with two lifts. We have been researching it quite a bit and found it will not be as expensive as you would think. I just need to get a hold of some land that would facilitate everything that I want.

Get yer arse on a plane, mate!

I'll take you and your buddy to the best place in town, and I can even be your driver if ya wanna get sloshed!

I'll bring my video camera, so we can post up some tech tip movies, starring our very own CasetheCorvetteman!

Been a busy day for me. Just jump in and get started. I did lots of auto work as a kid (a long time ago), then I got married...kids, family responsibilities, etc. Then after I get all three daughters married off I find my auto skills again (just a bit tougher to do some of them as I'm not the young buck I was 30+ years ago) If I can do this so can you, but I know what you mean about having a "buddy" around to help you out with these projects..

this has been a hectic week at work... politically charged projects and everything...

As for lowering the vette 2", this is the easy, DIY solution:

Speaking of dream homes....

We just bought a house back in April. Really nice on 2.5 acres out in the country.

My garage currently has 3 vettes in the front part and the back part(seperated by a wall) has room for two more. I currently use the back part for my Screenprinting business. The previous owner used it for painting his cars(he was a muscle car dude).

Anyway, it was more than I could have asked for and I am enjoying the heck out of the room and space, the wildlife, the fact that I can see all the stars on a clear night, and not worry about noisy neighbors. I love it!

That sounds great brut. How about some pics of the wild around your "yard"? I want my house to be on about 20 acres. I dont like neighbors being so close to my house.

I will do as soon as i can mate, bare in mind i dont like snow very much, so allow for that factor.

The front lowering will be a 2 day job (providing there is no major issues along the way), assembly and disassembly is nothing, but the modification to the front spring takes time, and while that is in progress, the adhesive must have some time alone to cure, i bond the lowering wedges to the vehicle frame cause they will last ALOT longer. The spring retainers will need to be cut down and machined up all nice and smooth to look like a factory job or better (which i always insist on doing, cause you dont want to have to do it again at a later date), but this is no big deal.

The rear will take me about 30 minutes depending on how many cigarette breaks i have. (also bare in mind when i do the rear, i dont like to trust the nylok nuts alone, i use high tensile nuts on first, then followed by the nyloks.)

Dont forget that video camera, this will probably be the best chance to make me "famous" amonst the series 4 Corvette world....

If you don't dig snow, then I'd guess you're looking at April or May. But I believe you were thinking along those lines before.

What is that DIY solution? Flattening the tires? Very funny....
