Is there a normal period of time or miles between brake fluid changes?

racers will flush fluid on a weekly basis.

For most street cars, consider once a year ok.

I highly recommend Valvoline Synpower brake fluid.

Take a couple of minutes and read this tech tip:

Brake Fluids

To be honest with you, I'd never heard of green brake fluid, so I looked it up. There isn't any. Unless you live in Europe and it's mineral based, not suited for use in our cars. I did find an article on a guy who's brake fluid was contaminated and turned green. Weird. Are you sure the brake fluid wasn't blue? A lot of guys use ATE superblue brake fluid. It's more expensive but supposedly top of the line. No personal experience with it.

Let us know because now you have my interest.

Before every raceday or once a year.

In reality, I only change it after it looks dark or after I lose confidence in the brakes.
