It really doesn't matter. The resolution is incredible, as long as you have a high hz HD.

Just a word of advice, stay away from Samsung BR players. I had one for 1 week, before it crooked. Now I have LG and life's good. Read about the Samsung if you do not believe me. If you watch movies, more than gaming, stay away from the PS3 or the like. They use 30 fps. Movies are recorded in 24 /48 / ect... (increments of 24), so the conversion causes some problems in image quality.

I'm glad you posted that.

Samsung was on my list as was a PS3!

I'll look into the LG's

My TV is a Insignia, LG makes them for Best Buy.
I don't know if they make their players as well.

I've owned a Samsung for a year with no problems. Not that they don't have issues, just my real world experience.

Just picked up a copy of Transformers 2 in BluRay and it is amazing. With the surround sound on it is even better!

I have no complaints using my PS3 as a player.

Looks fantastic, plus plays great games. I can't see buying a BD player that is NOT a PS3.

But that's just me.
