Just returned from two weeks in beautiful Australia. Week one was a live aboard trip diving on Spirit of Freedom out of Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef, and Osprey and Bouganville Reefs in the Coral Sea.
The second week was spent visiting Casey on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane as well as a couple of dives to the wreck HMAS Brisbane out of Mooloolaba, Karen and I also got to see Steve Irwins' zoo with Casey while there.
Thanks for your hospitality and the chauffeur service mate, no doubt saved this old man from a wreck attempting to drive a rental car on the "wrong" side of the road! Hope you get over here one day for a visit but don't envy you the plane ride. Our return trip was a nightmare, over 40 hours travel counting layovers and flight delays, barf.

It was a great trip Andy, highly recommended as mentioned all except for the plane ride. With all his high tech computer knowledge I think Casey should spend some time inventing Hyperspace, it would sure make visiting easier!

While it was certainly warm during our visit, so help me it seems hotter back here in Florida. We got lucky on zoo day with Casey, it was pleasantly overcast and cool which was nice for that portion.

Casey took me to visit the largest Corvette dealer in Australia one day to view the right hand drive conversion process, a hell of a lot of work. You must be a dedicated Vette lover to pay the price of driving one of our toys in OZ, trust me on that one.

Incredibly everyone we met in Australia is just as friendly as Case, fantastic country, diving was even better than anticipated and understand the GBR is probably every scuba nuts dream vacation. I have an image of a huge manta ray that will be with me the rest of my life. Don't miss the chance to go if you can.
