What a deal! Listing says it is in Pearl City, Hawaii
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/40th-A ... rucks&hash=item415901f4b9

I want it! I would have to cash in some of my 403B and my wife would divorce me but it just might be worth it.
My new address would be:

Ronald Warren
C/O Lot 17
Happy Hollow Trailer Park
East Bumhump, Montana

I tried to copy the image in the Ebay listing but was unable to do so. I never even realized that they ever made a Ruby ZR-1.
Here is a pic of one from a Google search. What a beauty!

Yikes! what a great looking car. I think I want it also, although I have been to East Bumhump Montana and it is not a nice place to live.......but who cares. Make sure you can pull the car into the trailer house every night and some clip guns would be in order also.....just saying!

Not Steve's. His isn't a ZR1. But I bet he knows the car.

Whomever owns it has put a load into it, tho!!! I can't imagine that engine was cheap... or the rest of the car - brakes, coil overs, damn...

I didn't think his was an LT5 either. My memory is getting as short as some of my other body parts though.
I think this is a great deal for the amount of money that has been put into this car.
When we visited the islands in 2004 I met a C4 owner who said that he had his 1984 shipped from California for about $800 around the year 2000. I can't believe the shipping costs have gone up that much!

Those costs seem high to me.

I had friends ship overseas for LeMan's in 2001 and it was the $800 figure, one way, that you mentioned.

At that price, I would rather ship my car over than pay European rental car rates!!!

You do need to get local Euro insurance for the time you are there, but that is reasonably affordable, as I understand it.

Yeah in fact the majority of 1993 ZR-1s are the Ruby 40th Anniversary ones

We judged one at the Wildwood Regional in May. Neat cars - I'll never understand why Chevrolet didn't allow you to get the 50th Anniversary car in Z06 form.
