i changed the weights in the governor--#5 and #6 from b+m kit, along with stock springs.
trans now shifts at 6000 1-2 and 6200 2-3 any tips to get the safety clip on? it didn't have one originally. also what did you use to pound the cap back on? |

Are you referring to the safety clip on the outside of the trans case that holds the cap on? AFAIK those aren't on 700r4s, just the older transmissions. But I think the holes are still there and you can use one from a 350. Mine doesn't have one, the cap fits snug. When I had to put my cap back on I used a BFH - I think I used a masonry hammer because the chiseled end let it slip in between the trans and the tunnel - there's not much room to work there.
