I have been made aware of the 2012 catalog with improved airflow on many of their SBC heads. I thought this would interest alot of the guys on here since their heads are pretty popular. The 195 comp port, all the 210's and the 220's got a make over. A more efficient port that flows more with the same port volume. They were great before, but now it's crazy what they are flowing.

The 195 comp port before: .400 255cfm, .500 285 cfm, .550 294, .600 301cfm.
The 2012 195 comp port: .400 260, .500 293, .550 304, .600 308.

The 210 race ready before .400 249 .500 279, .550 289, .600 295, .650 299.
The 2012 210 race ready: .400 255, .500 292, .550 301, .600 309, .650 311.

The 210 comp port before: .400 257, .500 290, .550 301, .600 308, .650 311
The 2012 210 comp port: .400 257 .500 296, .550 310, .600 318, .650 322.

The 220 comp port before: .400 258, .500 294, .550 309, .600 317, .650 323 .700 326
The 2012 220 comp port: .400 263, .500 299, .550 312, .600 324, .650 328, .700 329

They also now make a entry level 220 race port that flows 318cfm@.650

those are some great numbers. Considering they are still restricted by the base design of the head.

It will. As long as people are making shit for Flat Head Fords, they will be making it for SBC's!!! Too many out there to ignore!

In Hot Rod the gen 1 SBC was rated the #1 engine to play with.

They will continue to build us better stuff.

These new AFR make me wonder if I still want to go TEA....

I think the SBC is rated #1 because there are so many out there. But I'm glad that AFR supports them and makes a nice product.
