An guy on another forum said the McLaren was clocked at 190 going into T5 at Road America while his 2010 ZR1 hit 172.

Slowing down from 190 with 1966 brakes????

Nope, much of pro racing has turned into a liberal, even, fair, spec (don't innovate anything) deal.

These cars had as much as 950 HP and nothing at the time could come close to them.

The ONLY series now running where you can still do go=fast engineering is American Lemans (thank goodness) and Euro Lemans.
Formula 1 too but F1 was way better back in the day.
