I took my battery out to get it tested. While I was removing the left fender I discovered that the car is missing several fender screws -- I found a source for those -- and several fender bolts. Any idea where I can get the correct bolts?

www.vette2vette.com.

GM or Ecklers? Maybe they sell them? GM has rules forbidding their suppliers from selling outside contract, and I am willing to bet those bolts are still in use by GM.

Most of those bolts are 10mm and common as dirt on GM cars. If you have a
Pick-a-Part type junk yard local to you, get them from camaro's and cavalier's. They go for a dollar a hand full around here.

Really, although there are many unique parts on a Corvette, most hardware is not among it and is generally common to most GM cars. As stated, look around and you'll be surprised.

When you put the fender/battery cover back on....You might want to Notch out the bottom piece so its a "U" shape instead of a "O". The bolts are a real BEAR to get back in....which is probably why they were left off.
This way when you need to change the battery in future you only need to loosen the bolt rather than remove it...and the rocker panels! :-)
