I have a set like those on my '86 - non roller cam. I
trimmed the oil drippers in the valve covers just in
case they might touch. I am a bit quicker in the 1/8th
mile, but it may be my launch skills are improving.
Worth it, get them.

New times in the 1/8th. 9.03 @ 79.45mph. 1.6 roller tip
rockers and new tires are the only changes to the car.
I'll be in the 8s soon.

I put the 1.6 roller tip rockers on last weekend. They have
been on a shelf waiting for some months, and i had the car
on jack stands for a starter anyway. I also got my antique
plate on too. Getting her ready for the 1/8 mile track this
spring. My mustang driving buddy has called me out. I need
sticky tires & launch practice.

It was Imperial Shrine convention. Competitions of every kind,

I'm a commercial A/C mechanic (not automotive) but ALL open
drive compressors leak a little, especially when not used.
The seal gets dry & it seeps out. Your plan is good, but leak
test it with pressure, not in a vacuum, its better that way.

It is easy to get licensed & on the air. Very handy in hurricane season and on road trips. Spring & summer is when
the clubs have swap meets & test sessions. Hunt down a club near you, they will help you test & get you past the mic fright of your first contact.

Houston voted them out in November (yay!) but the camera company is suing the city now. Had to see that coming. The City campaigned for them on "Safety, Safety, Safety", now the same city is whining about the HUGE budget shortfall shutting them down caused. Tommy nailed it, its about the money.

I use rotella in my 86, but i've noticed the zinc is reduced
too. I have been running STP 4 cylinder formula. Its in a red
bottle and is a much lower viscosity than the blue bottle.
I don't know the actual zinc level, but i feel better with it.

I installed the same system on my '86 about 2 weeks ago. I
put on stock mufflers from a '94 convertible. No drone. Its
pretty loud thru the gears, but at steady cruise its quiet.
I used them because i got them for free. I figured i'd use
them til i could afford "better", but i'm going to keep them.

No. It means you have B4P - radiator boost fan.

You can do this. It'll take a real 2.5-3 hp motor. It will
draw about 25amps at cut-out pressure. Be sure the wire is
big enough. A single stage, 2 cyl pump should keep up fine.
I painted my car with an HVLP gun and this set up.

The local news tonight had video of him leaving the road and

much over the speed limit. Maybe the salt water caused the

LA MARQUE, Texas – A man blamed a low-flying pelican and a dropped cell phone for his veering his million-dollar sports car off a road and into a salt marsh near Galveston. The accident happened about 3 p.m. Wednesday on the frontage road of Interstate 45 northbound in La Marque, about 35 miles southeast of Houston.

The Lufkin, Texas, man told of driving his luxury, French-built Bugatti Veyron when the bird distracted him, said La Marque police Lt. Greg Gilchrist. The motorist dropped his cell phone, reached to pick it up and veered off the road and into the salt marsh. The car was half-submerged in the brine about 20 feet from the road when police arrived.

Gilchrist said he doesn't know if the car was salvageable, but in his words, "Salt water isn't good for anything." He says the man, whose identity hasn't been released, was not injured.

A 2006 Bugatti Veyron was recently offered for sale in Jonesboro, Ark., for $1.25 million.
