hi

i received my M-10552 pump today, and it have the pink high pressure spring installed...

currently i run a SV/SP "non-performance"pump.., its a Sealed Power (that is made by Melling)

can i just swap the springs? are they equal length?

I'm not familiar with the differences in the new and old Melling pumps. I would think the springs should be interchangeable between early and late pumps. The stiffer relief spring won't have any affect on the oil pressure until it reaches the relief pressure of the weaker spring. Is that likely?
