I've got black wheels on my DD truck and I'd like to brighten them up with some accents. Are any of you guys aware of any rattle-can paint available that will adhere to a powdercoated surface? I checked with Eastwood and the question eventually was swept under the rug by way of ignoring my repeated emails.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Take a little high grit sandpaper, rough up the surface a touch, mask, spray and done!

Not high grit paper, 400 (wet sand it). All you want to do is lightly clean the dirt/oxydation off the powder.
Basically you treat the PC just like any other painted surface,

High grit will put big scratches in the powder.

Also, Duplicolor has some very good wheel paint that I've used.

Thanks guys! With the reaction, or lack of, from Eastwood, I was afraid I'm stuck with all black. When the weather starts to get better I'll give Duplicolor a try.

I used the Duplicolor gunmetal on my enclosed trailer wheels Bob.

It held up well, hasen't peeled in 6 years. Had some nice metalic in it.

Did you put it on aluminum, steel, or a powdercoated surface?

Steel painted wheels, light wet sand, cleaned with Simple G. then Dwan dishliquid and hot water.

Prep is the most important thing.

I have painted over P/C before though.

I'm getting some offroad bumpers for my truck and actually going to get black powdercoat and then paint over it to match the truck. The powdercoat is great at keeping the steel sealed up from rusting, so I'm treating it as a base coat. Paint is too thin and porous and oxidation finds a path otherwise.
