I read a old thread (2006) on the other forum about using Elmers Carpenters Wood Glue diluted with water and painting the speaker cones. Andy was one of the main players in the discussion, so I'm sure it's valid. Is this still worth trying or is there a new and improved version now?
This will be for Bose speakers. Joel |

They also make a glue specifically for speaker cones. When I bought some to fix an old speaker it looked the same as elmers glue....lol.

Thanks guys. It seems to be a common procedure, so I'll try it and see what happens.

I was reading that thread from answers.com...
lots of good info... too much weight would effect the speaker performance, very true. But I suspect the small amount of real mass added to the cone from this process is negated by the strength it adds. |
