Getting some Ford motorsports "cobalt tops", i ohmed mine again the other day and found 2 down at 11 ohms. Ive had a recent issue (in the past 12 months) where at WOT i would loose power and have occational backfiring out the exhaust, and when logging with Data master ive seen the injector duty cycle hit 99% before 6,000rpm (which is where ive moved the fuel cutoff to since i had the heads done).

I dont know how much power i should have, but i have this cam: http://www.cranecams.com/?show=browse ... 831&partType=camshaft as far as i know, was in the car when i got it,
Crane Gold 1.6:1 RRs, Crane double springs, Crane hardened pushrods, and over sized valves.

I showed all this stuff to the bloke that did my heads up for me a while back, he made some porting changes to both intake and exhaust, and seems to think that with what i had, the stock heads are as far out as they can go. I know when i bolted it all back together it was way more powerful, and even better after i tuned it.

Last few months its been getting abit rougher, although still runs pretty good.

How many # on the new injectors? When I replaced mine I went with 24# Accels. They work great! Let us know how it runs when you get the new ones installed. Catch Ya Bro.

36 lb/hr mate, ive got 24 lb/hr units in there now, and they are not big enough to allow enough fuel through on my engine.

You can't go wrong with the FMS units. 36# should be more than adequate and still leave some growing room (if needed) for future mods.

I believe he's about 13 hours ahead of me, here in the eastern time zone. He should be getting up about any time now! I'm hoping to hear from him soon on another matter.

Its partly listed above mate, but ill list it again:

*Crane Gold 1.6:1 RRs
*Crane hardend pushrods
*Crane double springs
*Over sized valves
*Ported heads
*Crane Cams listed in the link above

Seems to be stock bottom end, i dont know cause it was like that when i bought it.

Was running on stock tune when i first bought it too, and idled so rough it wasnt funny.

I tuned it myself, and it ran 100 times better, and after the heads were done and it all went back together, i tuned it again and it was even more powerful. Since that was all done, the injector DC was always way up in the 90s whenever id get over about 5,200rpm.

When it first started to backfire out the exhaust i thought it may have been the tune, but when i drive it normal its always fine, only an issue at high rpm. I tried setting the injector constant on 22lb/hr and it ran abit richer all the way through until the higher rpm, when it did the same thing, cause i dont reckon the injectors can give it enough fuel.

The engine wont stay as it is for ever, so when it gets pulled apart again, ill be doing a fair bit more to it. So i went with the 36 lb/hr injectors so i dont find my self short again in the future.

I dont know if the cam that is in there is good for the job, i didnt select it, the previous owner did all that. Seems ok to me, but i dont know.

Case', I like your cam.

Also, I'm in the same boat as you with the injectors. I have my fuel pressure turned all the way up, and still don't have enough fuel up top. Proably going to change injectors myself this spring.
