Made it thru 1st round qualifying.

1.289 60ft
3.875 330ft
6.054 1/8 mile
112.61 mph

2 more rounds of qualifying and eliminations tomorrow.

Today the outside temp was in the 90' and the DA was 3000 ft so no chance of a real fast pass.... still considering the heat, the car ran well and I'm just happy be able to come back and run for the $$$$ tomorrow.

Unfortunatly the heat was worse today than yesterday....

The car was very consistant - Running 6.06@112 in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of qualification. 1.28 60fts on both.

That put me number 7 qualifyer on the ladder and with 10 cars in the field, I had to run the number 3 qualifyer first round... which worked out about like you would expect.

First round eliminations the track got slick after the sun went down and I spun the tires hard... not that it would have mattered as he ran 5.56@124mph.. I slowed to 6.15@112mph with a terrible 1.41 60ft. I cut a horrible light as well... I really need some more seat time on the .400 Pro Tree.

It sucks to loose first round but with all the breakage I have had just testing I am really happy the car ran good. We qualified well and at the end of the day I was able to drive it up on the trailer. I knew comming in that I would be one of the slower cars.... these other guys have years woring on their combinations and most of the cars FAR outclass mine in its current state. With a little more work on the car and the driver things can only get better.

The rest of the competitors were really nice as was the promoter.

Next race is in 2 weeks. Will try and represent the Corvette community a little better next race.

Got video of first round eliminations for you guys. You can see how hard my car spun the tires.

My brother just scored a set of Koni double adjustable shocks for me... They should be a fix for the rebound problem on the rear suspension.

He also scored a Turbo Action shifter with automatic air shift capability (1st to 2nd gear).... I occasionally get the car in the limiter on the 1-2 shift (espc when it spins) so this will be a big help.

After the next race I'm going to try and buy a progressive controller for the nitrous to smooth out the initial hit off the line. That should make the car leave easier and allow me to run a bigger dose of nitrous down track....

Also while checking over everything today I found an inner U Joint strap (right side) had been stretched out.... So I dug in my parts bin and put a good one on it. Man, this car is a handful on the maintenance front.... only 10-12 passes on these joints, straps and bolts.

I understand your disappointment, but you are still looking great out there: I ran the video more than once.

Cool, you'll be able to tweak the squat and the speed that the front end comes down.

Give em hell, Will
