does anyone know where these come from?
I was asked to do this, it's not a simple decal. Looks like paint to me, Guy bought the car like this and has a damaged hood, needs new hood and wants it redone to look like the other hood. Claims he "can't get one anymore".... ideas anyone? Attach file:  hood.jpg (104.64 KB) |

Would vinyl survive the heat?
Do you have the hood? I suspect you could tell if it was painted. there wouldn't be a ridge to speak of. |

Yes, there's a ridge - I'm calling it paint - car owner calls it a decal - I make decals - that' ain't one that I do - silver and gold metallic, black, then white - the fine black outline around 50 looks hand done as the thickness of the lines are inconsistent. He really needs to ask previous owner where it came from. I can make stencils for paint but that looks like something done by machine rather than a paint gun and a body man....
and, it's been cleared over... |

You'd feel the paint ridge if it was done with a stencil by most, Mile Lavallee (Killer Paint) might be able to do one without ridges but most guys/gals couldn't. |

This is paint... best I can do here is give them four stencils for each paint color and let them do it. But, with what he has and what he says the original owner paid - I'm thinking that was a custom job done with something besides a paint gun and a stencil. I can't figure out why he can't just ask his previous owner how all that happened or where he got it done - maybe he just can't get hold of the guy. ?? or it's too far away? who knows... They want stencils, I'll give 'em stencils...
