Just passed smog but barely. Cat is tired. Sooo, where is the best place to buy one. I understand since I live in Calif that a certified shop has to install, but that I can buy. True-not true? Thanks guy's.

Andy can answer that better since he is in Cali. Magnaflow usually makes replacement cats that should be direct fit or close to it.

install isn't as important as part... And yes, Magnaflow sells exact fit cat. IT has a 2 year warrantee... costs more, yes, but is a better quality piece.

It should be a bolt in.

They are available with and without EO numbers. The EO number costs about $60 more. I paid for it, but kinda wish I hadn't, because the smog tech can't even get under there to see it.

I actually got the universal one and have 3" round to and from it (not stock), plus clamps I can swap out for a test pipe. For uh.... testing. EO number is the same, Magnaflow makes it.
