Morning guys....it's a dreary day in KC. Headed to church pretty quick. When I get back, I'll tell my story of yesterday.

Have a great day..

Howdy! I slept in like a champion. The sun is finally making a appearance - I think we have turned the corner. Nothing but football on today's agenda.

Enjoy your Sunday, yawlz!

We got up early yesterday (4am) to leave for western Iowa to pick up my new CNC router. Driving time was 7 hours, an extra hour for several stops. We spent a couple hours learning about the machine and getting it unhooked and ready for loading on the trailer. Shortly after we got there, it started raining.....HARD. Once disconnected we started tarpping it. One over the table, then, plastic bags over each of the motors, and a second tarp over the entire machine. Luckily he had a skidsteer with long forks and we picked it up, during a break in the rain, and put it on the trailer. Then I backed the trailer into the shop and we put a third tarp on. It was a good thing I did, as the sky opened up again. I used about 40 bungy cords to hold the three tarps on.

Once we got it on, tarped, and tied down, we waited for the rain to let up and after 15 minutes, it showed no sign, so we took off. It rained hard for the first hour on the road, but the tarps stayed on and covering the machine. After an hour, the sky started to clear and the rain stopped. So I stopped and checked things out. I noticed that I lost three or four bungies and the top tarp was torn. I re-secured things and made it on in to #3 house.

This morning, I went to Harbor Freight and bought another tarp and a few more straps to cover it again, and hopefully, will be able to get home tomorrow without any issues.

Oh, by the time we got here I was bushed. While reading my email I crashed on the sofa about 7:30. Slept for an hour there (I guess) when Rosie wakes me up to go to bed and I slept until the alarm went off, to go to church at 7:30. I was tired.

That sounds like fun, Steve.

I just finished adding a receptacle in the basement for #3 where she wants her sewing machine. Very few outlets in the basement and some real "bubba" wiring that I will address, maybe next time we are here. Also fixed another "bubba" wiring faux pas. They spliced into the wiring and just left it open. So I bought a junction box and did it right. Found a 3/8 copper tube just coiled up and asked what that was for.... "I don't know, but the other end is coiled in the garage." So I determine that it was something gas related that is no longer there, so I yank that out. The cable TV guys left a mess that I will address next time as well. Bubba really had his way in this house, which means that I have a lot to repair.
