2014 Memorial Day Car Show Winner!

Stayed up late again last night to watch my Royals take another win from the Angels. Not as big a night, run-wise, but pitching and defense were really good and LoCain hit two homers and one other RBI, which was more than enough to stifle the "A s". While the kids were here last night, I was working on a computer in my basement room, they were down asking questions about this and that, One was about a tool that helps me take iPhones apart, and I was demonstrating how it worked and inadvertently dialed a Corvette buddy I hadn't talked to in a couple years. We talked for an hour and a half...actually until my phone battery died.
Rosie was up early as were our guests (niece and four kids) were. They had a 45 minute drive this morning to where the swim meet is. They'll be back after the meet, sometime after noon. It's going to be another HOT one today, looking for 104. Don't know if the wind is supposed to blow, but my guess is 'yes'. Still working on the computer that I started last night. I think I just about got it. Well, you guys have a great Saturday! |

Howdy! Looks like we're in for rain off and on this weekend. I'm watching some of the U.S. Open- I'm not sure I have enough golf balls to play a round on that course.
Have a good day, all! |

LIGHTS OUT SINCE 0900, HAD A VERY ENTHUSIASTIC THUNDERSTORM. DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH RAIN WE GOT, THE WIND BREW THE RAIN GAUGE AWAY. SOME MINOR LIMBS DOWN, DRIVEWAY WASHED BAD. RUNNING MY Y2K GENERATOR OFF AND ON TRYING TO SAVE FREEZER STUFF, I'D HATE TO LOSE ALL THAT BEEF FROM #3 GS'S CALF. MORE JOYS OF COUNTRY LIVING :-0 |

LIGHTS BACK ON AT 2115, AFTER ABOUT 12 HOURS. I WAS NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO A NIGHT WITHOUT AC. AND IN THE WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT THE CHIPMUNK IS STILL ALIVE. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT NOW THERE ARE TWO OF THEM, A POTENTIAL POPULATION EXPLOSION. BRAVECAT HAS DEFINITELY LOST HER EDGE, PASSED HER PRIME. NO CHIPMUNK HAS EVER SURVIVED THIS LONG AROUND HERE. |

Hot here today, but no storms. 107, I would have thought that would have stirred up a thunderboomer. Cooler tomorrow.
