Did we lose the ability to edit posts?
I have a post that needs to be fixed. The pictures in my post (post #3) in this thread: http://www.corvette-guru.com/modules/ ... t_id=24591#forumpost24591
used to show just fine in the old forum. It looks like the format has changed a little and the "web" tags are not used here. So, I need to edit that post. But the edit button is gone?

But what's weird, is the two posts I made above both have the edit button.

I still don't see an "edit" button on any of mine.

That button will show up for a little while, but after a few hours it is no longer available.

I wonder if it's associated with our time out issue. When you no longer see the Edit button, you've actually been logged out and didn't realize it? Hm.

Well, that's not entirely true either.
Check out this thread here:
http://www.corvette-guru.com/modules/ ... php?topic_id=1558&forum=5

I made the last post in it back on Jan 5th.
Up until the new site went live, I had an edit button available there. Now, even though I was the last poster I can not edit my post.

I think you should always have the ability to edit your own posts, no matter how old or even if someone has posted after you. We all make "mistakes" we might want to fix.

Maybe so, but even if you log back in again you don't have the ability to edit your post.

Thanks!

And just so you know, right now the edit button is still available to my post right above yours. So, that means it's not quite like MAXXWRENCH suggests. Although, that was a good suggestion.
