I hit the key and the starter engages and just stops. Click. Starter? Solinoid? Any thoughts? The battery is new and fully charged (On this one anyhow!) Thanks Guys for any insight.

Just a click?

First check your battery cable connections, otherwise you may have a bad starter. Try tapping the starter with a hammer next time it happens and see if that changes anything.

Battery is new and tight, Cables are new (GM) and I won't be able to get to the starter unless she's on jackstands! It's an LT1 ZF6. It will click, and nothing. If I hit the key a couple more times the starter will catch and she fires right up. The first thing I tried was a new ignition key, same result. I'm thinking solinoid. I'll check out the price of a new solinoid this weekend. Thanks Central Coaster.

Replace or rebuild? Hmmm, $118 for a probably chinese replacement (worldwide) or $120 for the shop next to advance to rebuild it. I think I'll pull it and get it rebuilt by an American. No offense to anyone, I'll be in the garage. Thanks
