...as pappy would say. This weekend I installed some Hooker 2151's and had to drive it a few miles to the exhaust shop. Everyone told me that open headers were loud, but I just thought they were too old. So loud there's no point in even turning the radio on. But it was sweet!

I had a 72 Camaro, it only had a 307, but I put Thrush mufflers on it. Before I did, I took off the exhaust and drove it around the neighborhood.
To this day I remember how loud it was. It was incredible that the little 307 could make that kind of roar.
Open headers will make small children explode.

I use to run open manifolds when I took the stock exaust off and plalyed with different ideas. Sounded loud at first then it started to sink in that it sounded like crap the more I listened to it. LT headers might sound better though...

Yeah, i think it sounded pretty good. The Lt's make it sound a little more controlled than I would imagine your manifolds sounded.
