Interesting concept. But how does that work as far as wage? Is everyone now a salary employee since you aren't working "hourly" anymore? I think it could work in business applications(ie office/corporate), but not in customer service or other fields where you have to deal with people. Could you imagine the police going "well, I arrested 2 people today, so I feel my work got done. I'm going home now".
I've heard some places are starting 4 day work weeks with 10 hour days to conserve on fuel costs driving to work. Sounds cool to me as I drive 24 miles one way to work and it costs me about $12 a day back and forth.

Overall a neat article.
