Where is the best place to find a high pressure AC line? My line has a badly leaking valve.

What valve are you talking about? Shrader valves are known to get weak and leak, but they are less than $1.00 and easily replaced. Of course you will lose whatever freon you have left when you change it out, so have an AC shop vacuum it out first. (You know, that Go Green and save the environment thing).

I was just at autozone - they had a kit to replace the valves , orings you name it. Most the parts chains have that stuff. Oh and I found in my helms ,1988, that they go into the evacuation and charge procedure in detail

I have a 94 and I did my A\C last year. My valves leaks bad also. Mine are not the "Typical Shrader" valve mine have rubber corks or stopers. I can't possibly see how those can be changed without replacing the entire line. However the caps that cover those valves have o-rings and do a decent job sealing the leak. It's been a year now and I have plenty of cold!
