Found out recently that I'm going to need knee replacement,I'm only 44... I knew something has been wrong for a while and lately the pain has been unbearable! I can't say that I'm not a little nervous....I have seen pictures of the surgery and that did not help much. Was wondering if anyoneelse has had it done?

Wow - that sucks. My dad had knee surgery about 2 years ago after he banged it on a machine at work. Wasn't a replacement, though. He was on crutches for a while afterwards, but the physical therapy helped a lot.

Good luck with it and keep us posted!

From what I've heard, recovery is some work, but well worth it. Best of luck!
