CSS996 Went to a small Vette show today...

Got the Ruby washed up, and took my son out to look at some Vettes today.

I would say it was a small show, with about 50 Vettes in attendance. Mine was not among them, as it will never be clean enough to show.

Of course my wife's digital camera's batteries were dead, and no replacements were in evidence. So I had to use my phone. Which sucks, because even though it takes decent enough pix, the coating (iridium?) that was on the lens has worn off, and it makes my photos look hazy. I'm kinda pissed about that, but here we go...

A '54. The guy had it running just before I took this photo. Sounded like a sewing machine.

I have this thing for Sting Rays

And my son's favorite... Supercharged, but I did not look close enough to see exactly what kind of engine was in there.

There were a fair amount of each generation in attendance. A nice '78 Pace car, and a 25th anniversary. A couple really nice chrome bumpers (sorry, no pix)

C4 was, of course, the least represented. A black LT4 with a skunk stripe, a Ruby with C6 Chrome wheels on it, a white/red LT1, and a couple more modified C4s which did not really appeal to me.

TONS of C5 and C6 cars (of course) Nothing real special as far as I could see. The C5 that impressed me the most was a very stock looking silver Z06 with racing slicks on it. The hood was not up, so no idea if there were any engine mods.

I got pix of about half of the C2 cars. Most if not all of the C1 cars were survivor looking cars. Bad paint and no mods. Works for me. Drive 'em!

My personal favorite? The one that got me there and back. The one that taught a sliver Mitsubishi Evo a lesson about Torque on the way home.

Excellent! I've never seen a split-window hood before ;-)
