blowin my mouth off on the ol vets been wunnerful since got the sensor bugs n fluids takin care of...jus cruise n lovin it...so after braggin kid calls n needs ride in from nearby town..chure mayun i jump in vet n off i go...oh fug its hot (surgury wont let me pull roof)flip the ol air on cheeyut its warm...could feel comp pullin on n off real quick...sosin figured she has let a lil escape over summer...grabbed a can n flipped it in her n ima a cool cat again fellas...marked the day so we see ifn she holds awhilst er what...to me a can er two a summer n i wont werry bout it

Glad it worked out. I need to switch over to 134a, but I need a new condenser before I do that....more work. Oh well. Maybe next summer.

aw fug see !!! i rekon the alls well fer now is evin commin back ta bite me now.... fug i left her sit a couple daze n go jump in tanight n the fuggan air is short cyclin again..this time stays on a tad bit (nawt on off as before) but still ony a few seconds n off again...ony thing i kin see is commin off the compressor...thought the tech kids ran die in it this spring but dont see anythin anywhere but clutch...id ony added one short (10oz?)can n read fine n copm...was runnin fine n shed freeze ya...so leak?? er is there chance id barely filled it nuff??? n could maybe need nuthar can... i ain no air guru by no means...any thoughts rednecks?
ps ony have the tard gauge easy one step one gauge one can one line in lowside deal ...n she dint git near red jus settled in green as full n safe...

Sounds like a leak somewhere. At least I know where my leak is, but I don't feel like paying for it right now. Of course it was 90* on the way home today. That sucked.

Mine is leaking at the condenser - years of being abused bent up the top of the fins and caused a small leak. But if I'm gonna replace that ($120 from thepartsladi) I'll have to replace the other little things plus seals, etc, so I figure around $250 total. Of course it'll be cold a/c again, but it can wait until next year.

The vettes have a large AC system, its very possible that you didn't get a full fill off 1 10oz can, IIRC (don't have my books) but its a 28oz system

thats wud i r hopin fer rich...there is a lil oil round clutch...n looked at my guage closer,,n now thinkin (n hopin) i filled to low mark (id rather be dork then it be broke) were thinkin green is good n since was runnin n cold etc ..after lookin its blue is full n since i dont member cheeyut,,well i figure id git a can of oil seal freon n see wud up wid that...did see some smoke commin off comp.clutch as tested pressure (hope jus the oil there burnin off)nawt alot but ony wet spot to be found n car was hot..well water temp was ony 210..but plenty hot ta werk on dint really search the condensor fer leaks either

well i shtuffed full ta 45 lbs with freon n sealer (cant say much on that sealer cheeyut) but now we see how long she holds..ony took bout 1/2 can..so jus hope with the temps etc that i dint have nuff in her...now taday temos have dropped 15 degrees in last 2 hrs...fug who needs air i need heat

I have a small leak at the fill connection, that gives me the same problem after awhile. Too lazy to fix it, besides it takes six months for it to leak out enough for the compressor to cycle.
