I GOT MY 87 VETTE WITH A BUMPER UPGRADE I BELIEVE A 94 STYLE BUT HAS SOME FIBERGLAS DAMAGE AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED SHOULD I GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL 87 BUMPER OR STAY WITH A UPGRADE AGAIN??? WHAT DO YA THINK?????

I think you have the best of both worlds right now. See... I like the early front end better than later, but I like the later rear-end. So, I'd just keep it like it is.

It really boils down to personal preference. Which do you like better. It won't win any NCRS points for the bumper cover that's for sure.

Looks great though!!

that is more than likely an Ecklers piece.

If you swap back, you will need the taillight assemblies, too.

I would contact www.vette2vette.com about getting an entire rear bumper cover with lights. I think the 84-89's look better with the original cap style as a pair, versus the ZR1 look with the old front and new rear.

BTW, that rear cap style hit all C4s in 1991. It first appeared on the 90 ZR1 with the original front.

If your restoring it then the answer is original. IF not then do what YOU like. After all it is your car and your the one who has to be happy with it.

Looks like a early ZR-1 I LIKE IT!! Instead of buying bumpers, spend the money and put some wheels on it. :thumbright:
