1990 L98. Just had the booster and master cylinder replaced 2 weeks ago. Previously the brakes engaged when light pressure was applied near the top when depressing the brake pedal. After the replacement, the brakes work fine but engage after depressing the pedal a couple of inches. Since the brakes work fine, is this anything to be concerned about, should I just get used to the new brake pedal actuation point or is there futher adjustment needed?

Might be related to the booster rod in the booster. When you press the pedal it presses out into the master cylinder and engages the brakes. It has to be set to the appropriate length. If you separate the MC from the booster you will see it sitting in the middle of the booster. Has a nut on the end (it I recall correctly?) that you turn to adjust the length. Yours might be retracted farther back making the pedal travel longer.

I believe there is a way to adjust the pedal itself (where is sits), but I've never done it so I'm not familiar with it.
