My coworker was saying his son wants one. I'm not sure where the hell you could ride it in the San Diego suburbs without getting busted, (or neighbors throwing rocks at you) but damn it looks like fun. I don't think he's aware of what these really are, and that some of them can do 60+ mph with a 49cc motor. Maybe I'll take one on the next canyon ride and see if I can keep up with the back of the pack. I'm impressed how much technology these have for the price and the weight they can handle. They even have 4-stroke versions now.

The guys that ride those are nuts. Obviously your buddy doesn't know how fast they go. I wouldn't recommend one for a kid.

Now there is a good idea. You can take it on your next cruise and if someones bike breaks down you dont have to leave him on the side of the road, just whip that thing out of your back pack or saddle back and WHAMO!
