Yea, Autox is much faster than people realize.

I did an autox several years ago in my old Lude... much fun, but realized I didn't have the time nor income to dedicate to it. I also had to drive 3 hours just to participate! Dover was such a black hole at times...

However, even on the smaller parking lot course they raced on, I topped over 70 MPH. No where near as fast as that track or that Vette, but the course was much tighter.

Correction, AutoX where you live is much faster than most.

Auto-X out here is SLOOOWWWWWW. You won't get out of 2nd gear. The insurance company probably restricts the length of the straightaways or something.

Where is that camera mounted?

You'd have to ask him

On our layouts, even in second, you've got your hands full. Opening up the course looks great if you have the space.

I routinely hit the rev-limiter in my Z in 2nd gear (91 MPH). In Key West, when I ran the Serpentine this spring, I saw 120 MPH through the finish line and was well over 100 in 3 or 4 other places on the track. When I go back in October for the 50th Bay Bottom Crawl, I suspect I'll see closer to 140-145 MPH. :thumbright:
