Both could be power, neither could be.

However, if they are, they should move fore/aft and up down with little more than an electric motor whine....

I ordered a Goodyear Gator back belt for my 92 LT1 from Summit.

It arrived and guess what? It was too long, by about 6", looped. If it was cut, about 12".

I sent it back with the explaination that it was the wrong size. They sent me the same belt back. Tonighte, I went to install it and it was STILL TOO LONG!!

I called their tech support. The guy check into it and found that the part listed online for my 92 was actually for an LT5!!!!

So he made a change request to the database people to notate that this part is for the ZR1. So when you see that, it's my fault.

They are sending UPS to pick up the wrong part and will be shipping me the right one. I should have this all done by about Wednesday.

Thanks Andy!
I guess nobody has ever ordered a serpentine belt for a '92 from them before. I'm glad you are helping them during this poor economy.

Glad you are getting that squeakin' belt replaced before it breaks and puts a hole in your hood.

Cheers!

So why didn't you ask him to send you an LT5 to fit the belt?

I would have kept it, and ordered the LT1 belt from somewhere else. Surely an LT5 belt is worth ten times what you pay for an LT1!

Note to self;

Store this info for when/if I ever get an '92 LT1 motor for my '85.

Thanks, gang!

I just went out there and it hasn't been fixed... not until Monday is my guess.

However, when you select the Gen II small block, it shows the belt, #GTR-4060805. When you select the LT5, the belt does NOT show. The thing is, that IS the belt for the LT5!

The LT1 part is 4060667. I do not know if this is the same for ALL LT1's, tho.
