While I was @ Lime Rock park for the ALMS race I decided to stop by the shop in the infield and buy a new helmet, since I was due. I also bought fireproof suit, since all I have now is treated corner worker whites, not really up to snuff with all the work I'm doing on my car.

I'm glad I went and stopped by a shop, there's no way you can tell online whether a suit is going to fit or not. I wound up trying on every helmet & suit in the shop! Besides I'd rather support a local shop.

Here's what I wound up getting:

Can't believe how light the helmet is compared to my old clunker, and the helmet & the suit are Hans ready.

Tells you something when there's a world class race going on outside, and I'm inside the shop getting a new helmet & suit. LOL

Brian

Helmit weight is extremely important to reduce fatigue in your neck. Even though the HANS provides some support, your neck takes a beating.
And the faster the car, in the corners, the more this happens.

I'll do that.

I want to wait until the 1st event to pull off the scratch protection.
