I check in daily but there's not much going on. It's a good site. I'd sure like to see it take off.

Honestly, we are in limbo. There will be new owners very soon and they will take over and get it to a faster server so the wait time (which I believe is one reason some members do not return) is lower.


The site is not dead., nor are there plans to let it die. It is tough competeing with some of the "bigger" sites, but we are still hanging in there.

Even though this is not a super busy site, the tech info here is great.
C4Guru is a site that is appreciated by many :thumbright:

Your are correct on the shout box. Part of the "slowness" problem is this software...it really hurts bandwidth with stuff like that. Basically, this software will have to be trashed, and rebuilt without losing any of the info.

I have so much going on in my life right now that I can't devote enough time to it, so I have decided to sell the site to one of the originators of C4guru. He hopefully will get everything back on track.

BUt, if I don't hear from him soon....I guess I will be back on my own. LOL

Things have been very busy in our lives right now. We have been planning and executing our two separate wedding receptions on two separate coasts!

We are already checking out software... and conversion will be important. I want to save as much of this as is possible.

And a new ISP is #2. The software sucks, the ISP swallows.

Now... lets see if this saves....

Lots of new members this week alone. With the commercialization of the "other site" I feel this place can only grow bigger and bigger. Plus, with the changes going on here and the additions Andy is making to the Tech article section this site is poised to become THE place for C4 owners to find GOOD information about maintaining and repairing their cars.
