I went with TPIS and capped the A.I.R fitting on the headers. I didn't think I was going to removed the A.I.R before purchase but then decided to. i have no regrets about ripping it out and would do it again.

As the title ssays , i'm mondering why I can't post a add to the Vette-related forsale section of the classifieds. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but can't figure what.

Any help would be great ,

PatsFan

Oh yeah heres the add I tried to post

I have a set of 4 sawblades off from my car that I would sell for 275.00 shipped in the lower 48. They have a set of Dunlop tires that have a fair amount of thread on them but are starting to weathercheck. The Tire go with the wheels if you pick them up, If i have to ship then the tires will not be included. I almost forgot the you pick up price is $200.00.

The wheels are in the shape you would expect a 17 year old wheel would be in. They do have curb rash and marks in them but are still presentable.

Here's a pic I took of the car last week with them on it

I can get better picture if needed when I take the wheels off from the car tonight.

Thanks in advance for looking ,

Patsfan

I'm hoping to jack all four corners up and take off the wheels to paint the calipers and wait for the new wheels to come in. They'll hopefully be here early next week.

I was just wondering that same thing. Being from Vermont i've never seen a place that wasn't insulated and to tell you the truth I just thought every house was. I guess if your in a nice climate there woud be know reason to do but for sound and AC reasons.

Very neat and goes to show that you learn somethiing new everyday ,

Hate to be the first one to bring up a painted caliper question on the new forum but ...

I had some body work done last year and have some left over paint. I was wondering if you guys thought that using the actual body paint would hold up on the calipers with it being brushed on. I'm not a body guy and didn't know if there was something special about the paint we use on these cars that would make it so it didn't hold up on things like calipers. Its a unique color car ( steel blue ) and I was having a hard time figuring out what color to paint the calipers and thought to myself that the body color might look cool.

Thanks in advance ,

patsfan

I installed mine 2 seasons ago in my 91. I think it was a Breathless but don't remeber for sure. I also think I bought it on Ebay. If I remeber right it was eithre $152.00 or $150.00 both I feel is 2 expensive for what it is. i would do it again thou, because it made it so much easier to get to everything with all that A.I.R stuff gone. it was a breeze to install also.

Heres a few pic's and Good-luck wiht your search ,

I just barely got around to taking some pic's of it though. When I finally got to the end of the car is when i felt like I was getting the hang of using the PC-7424. I'll break out the Polish again when spring decides to show up here. i think I can do a bit better of a job since getting the trial run out of the way :detail2:. Excuse the pic's ( almost time for a new camera)

I bought my car about three years ago. When I bought it this was in the center console. I was just going through the car and found it again. I was wondering if any-one knew what it was. I'm sorry about the quality of the pictures but my camera is getting a bit ancient and doesn't really like close-up pic's. Its a flymsy rubber part that appears to be some sort of cap. On the inside of the part is a grease/goop like substance.

Thanks in advance ,

Patsfan

Hey Case ,

I just did a mapquest and Its " 321 mi – about 5 hours 47 mins" away from me one way. If you can't find any-one closer and think it will all fit in the back of my F150 ( 6ft bed ) in one trip , I would be willing to help you out. The truck gets about 300 ( just under ) per tank.
Just let me know ,

I was just tooling around Craigslist as I do ofeten and stumbled on this 383 for sale. I don't know much about them and this might be a awful deal or might not even work for our cars, but figured I'd post it here incase some-one had interest in it.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on it.
