Out here there are numerous clubs and a lot of money spent on high dollar shotguns and gear. I can do ok with a sawed off 10 guage. A lot of rural high schools have teams. It is something to do with the family.

Since I just got my 90 I am very pleased with it. I never did like the C5's much. I like a car that is affordable and gives me the chance to turn it into what I want. C4's fit that bill perfectly. Maybe sometime in the future I could see myself in a C6 GS. My Harley is a 99 and they keep after me to trade into a new one. Why? This one is just the way I like it and looks better than a new one.

I also like simplicity and all the newer stuff has way to many magic boxes to get them to run. That's my thoughts.

That must have been the white out that came through here earlier on Sunday. My girls were going to Omaha to see a play and I told them no. They were bummed at the old man until they heard of all the pile ups. Several 15 and 17 car pile ups with a few semi's thrown in. One girl died when a semi rammed into her. Cars stalled for hours while they cleared off the wreckage. Nothing is worth traveling in that!

Most of the new car recommended oil change intervals are at 7500 miles. On my 90 it recomends every 7500. I change my oil when the sensor says 50% oil life remaining on my Chevy trucks. That is about 5000 miles per oil change. I use Mobil Delvac in the Duramax's and M1 in the SUV's. Costs a little more but it is worth it in the long run.

I think it makes a difference what kind of miles are being put on. So much of what we do is highway miles going all over to ball games or shopping. Not much stop and go city stuff. Or is miles miles no matter what?

I am having some work done to my 90's wheels. I needed to have the tires taken off and in the process the kid doing it (who is a car guy and usually very careful) broke one of the sensors when he removed the tire. It is the orange one. I thought no big deal until I see that they want 240 bucks for a new one.

Are you guys using yours or have you let them go as time and wheel changes have gone by? If anyone has an orange one they want to sell I may be in the market unless I dump the whole system. I know mine comes on every now and then on the dash when running down the road which has always been a false alarm. The first couple of times I stopped to check the tires. Thanks

I'd get one but I'd have to build a new garage and that wouldn't be cheap. You could get a different colored ZR1 for each day of the week and still have some cash laying around.

This is just a coincidence I'm sure but the only engine that I had that put the rods through the pan was using Amzoil. I never went back to it. It was a long while back and I think the gear oil they have is very good.

Yeah, I was not going to mess with it. I just thought there were 2 pvc valves one on each side of the engine and was suprised when the other side was a straight tube back to the intake. What does the valve on the drivers side valve cover do exactly and why not have them on both sides.

I like my wife and she likes me and somewhere in there love gets thrown in. I tell the family, 1 wife 3 kids, that we are a team and we need to all do our parts to make things work around here. They all looked at me for a second or two then burst out laughing and all of them piled into the Tahoe and headed for the mall. They know I'm the head coach though, I'm sure of that.

I thought of that but found some nice brass plugs for now. Maybe a next winter project. It would look real clean. I replaced the PVC on the driver side valve cover and then was going to replace the other side and it was only a direct vent into the Throttle body I think. Are the threads on the manifold tubes something ordinary or are they some one off GM thing? I am thinking of a nice metal cap that would fit right in.

I have most of the pieces out and Lord help me if I ever have to put them back. I started out nice and neat trying to keep everything in order and ended up cutting and cursing and throwing parts against the garage wall with a take that you sonofabitch.

I watched one of their shows from Kissimmee last week and they had a lot of C2's that brought big money and I think the C4 did not have much milage. They had a wood boat that had a pair of 396's in it that went for 750K I think. I always wonder where the buyers got their money.

I am in the process of tuning my 90. I am amazed that I am taking off the original parts. The coil had 4-10-90 stamped on top. I am also amazed at the amount of garbage that is in the engine bay because of the emissions control system. Is any of this removable without effecting the tune? We do not have emissions testing out here and I would like to do some clean up if it did not screw up the way the car is set up to run. Thanks

Been wanting to do that for awhile. He walked in the door the other day and he is taller than I am and out weighs me by 35 lbs and I realized in a short while he will be headed out the door to get on with his life. It is time to quit putting stuff off.

I am planing to take my wife and son ( Ultrawife and Ultraboy) to the Phoenix area mid March to see a few games and hang out. We have never been in this area before ( we have gone to Florida in the past) and wonder if the Guru's have a few places they would recommend us to stay at. The 4 to $500 per night stuff is not in the budget but wondered what you guys consider a fair deal.

In my expieriance it is good when the wife is happy. My wife had a church thing for women that she was not to keen on giving up her Saturday for. So while she was at that me and Ultraboy washed the dishes and cleaned the house. I am not dumb, 26 years of marital bliss has taught me a few things. I did get the 90 out and put on 150 miles over the weekend. Weather was not bad, dry roads, it ran great! Got some thumbs up from folks passing me on the 80. At least I thought it was their thumbs. Don't they make a nice insert for the tinted tops. My 79 had tinted t-tops and it was brutal in the summer. My 90 has the bronze top and it makes it seem a lot less confining but I have yet to go thru a summer with it.

Laminate is nice but it does scratch and there is not much you can do to fix it I don't think. It does go in nice, use some plastic sheets if putting on cement.

They had a big article in the new Car and Driver about what to do if the gas peddle gets stuck. First was overide it with your brakes and they did a lot of testing to see if that would work, it did. Then they said you could put the car in nuetral or push in the clutch. (you think?) Lastly you could turn off the car but there goes the steering and power brakes. Or you could run into trees and stuff like Tiger did.
