That whole story is bizzaro! Talk about a barn find! Right in the middle of town. I had never even heard of that VH1 deal or if I had I forgot it. Older now you know.

oooh... there is a lot of history here...
first off, the cars were a VH1 contest from the 1980s. The entire collection was won and then sold to Peter Max. Now, Peter Max is a rather famous pop artist. Known for a number of album covers and such. He planned some kinda pop art thing for it, but it never happened. As much as it may disgust those of us who like Corvettes, the cars are his and he has the right to do with as he pleases. Just because we don't approve, it doesn't give us the rights to be jerks about it. If these were living creatures, sure, I would be appalled, and as a Corvette geek, I am not impressed... I would hope he is going to sell them... but the cars are not worth the sum of the collection. |
